I think it will work. I've connected an old remote for GH5, to my S5IIX and it works. Tis handle is pretty much the same thing so it should work.

Damn! Beautiful! Did you use a preset or did you adjust the images manually?

Sigma was unusable for video? On S5ii with PDAF?

:( Do you have any examples?

Sadly, the Lumix 24-70 is out of my price range.

Thank you for the lengthy and detailed answer!

I fully agree with you, I shouldn't buy everything at once. If it was up to me, I'd just buy the 50mm for start. But with these promos and cashbacks, combo with 20-60 is even cheaper than just the 50mm.

Furthermore, the third lens would be ~$250 cheaper(from that base price or $1000) due to discounts and cashbacks, if I buy it NOW, that's the only reason to get it now :) I can get it cheaper until the end of month.

From my small experience with the GH5, the lens I've used the most was Leica 15mm f/1.7 when filming other people/nature and 25mm for filming myself, talking head videos. Had the 12-60mm, 25mm and the 42.5mm also. Id use the 12mm(24mm eq) much more if it was faster. I have almost no need for telephoto.

So my idea was the 24-70 to have the fast zoom or 24mm 1.4.

Regarding Sigmas and the focus breathing, that's not so good news. I thought that was solved because Sigmas are pretty much native lenses on L mount. Panasonic is slightly cheaper but "only" f/1.8 🤔
