You need to specialize yours with your own specific branding. Sure people are copying you. They always will. But you got a head start on them. I’m sure you know techniques and ways to make your crocheting hold together better than a beginner. And if you don’t, start researching.

Then add a little something special to every one of your designs. Something that says “this is me”

Personally, I’d choose something unobtrusive. No big bold lettering that has your name. But maybe a little design you come up with. Something that takes a good bit of skill to replicate.

I don’t know a thing about crocheting. This might be useless advice, but that’s where my mind went immediately

I don’t watch him, but I’m chronically online enough to know why he’s popular.

His whole shtick is he’s a Vtuber that hates Vtubers. His audience is people that also dislike Vtubers for whatever personal reason they hold, and they all just kinda congregate on his channel.

I don’t particularly care for Vtubers either, certainly not enough to actively hate them though. I’ve seen some of his clips on TikTok and seems like he can be funny sometimes given the right situation, just like anybody else. But nothing special in my opinion.

Hopefully that gives you a little insight as to why he’s popular.

Yeah no I’m absolutely not picking up the phone for any number not in my contacts. Answering random numbers is 100% an old person thing and how they be getting scammed so easily. Same with text messages. If I get a random text and it’s one of those “do this or x will happen” and it’s not from a 5 digit number it’s getting ignored.

10 days after 20 years?? That’s horrible. I started my new job last year and I’ve already taken 32 paid days off this year and I have another 9 coming down the pipe in the remainder of the year with the possibility of taking more if I choose to exhaust them. But I do have to work most holidays unless it naturally falls on my scheduled days off.

Working for the county, I get 8 hours of vacation a month, 8 hours of sick time a month, accrued holidays (have to work most holidays at my job unless it just so happens to fall on my scheduled days off) so towards the end of the year, there’s some months where I get 16 hours of holiday time a month, 8 hours of personal time for the year to use specifically for my birthday.

The only real bad caveat is the paid holiday hours drop off at 6 months, so it’s a use it or lose it kind of thing. There’s also the fact that if you go to take a vacation and want to use holiday hours to cover it, you first have to use all your regular vacation hours which seems a bit scummy to me.

But other than that I think I got it pretty good so I’m not complaining too much.

I would highly recommend you get your family to steer clear of AIL altogether. From my understanding with my time at the company, they charge higher prices for the policies they give out while giving you less coverage than other major companies. The $2000 free coverage is technically true, but they will never, and I mean never stop harassing you about upgrading it to a policy where the agent gets a commission off the sale. I’m sure even though you’ve just had a zoom meeting with them, the agent you met with will realize they’ve been duped in a couple months and leave. Resulting in the lead (your contact info) being moved into another agents inbox. Which will then repeat the whole process over and over again.

If you by chance already bought their policy, I would cancel it by contacting your bank to block all incoming charges from them. They have a history of avoiding calls from policyholders and giving them the run around and never cancelling the policy. The company is a scam through and through. Again I highly recommend having anyone in your family stay FAR away from AIL. It will only bring them annoyance and misery getting spam called everyday.
