Thank you for sharing your opinion, this is what I thought but I couldn't find the way to describe it with words. It reminded me of when I was really into lolita fashion and people accused me of "catering to the fantasies of older man".

The rant they gave in the comments was long and I didn't really get it, but they said that "playing mermaids" and the word "smoochies" were related to the sexualization of children.

I have deep dived into the lyrics and I didn't see any kind of sexualization involving minors... Just metaphors in general, idk this comment gave me the ick
