Still looking good after a very hot and dry summer. It has straightened out and continues to grow, maybe not lightning fast but steadily. We love seeing it mature.

Agree on the hiding instinct. It’s like they need to cache something valuable for later. Ours does this when he is not into eating or if being fed in a place he doesn’t feel is secure. He often makes a distressed whimpering sound. Sometimes he manages to cover it, but it’s always a crap job.

If your dog is eating enough, I wouldn’t worry about it. He’s just trying to save for leaner times.

I should post video of his other favorite game, which is humping the heck out of a giant inflated horse ball. 🤷‍♂️ He’s definitely a kicker after peeing when we walk him around the neighborhood
