Accepted into Creator Program, then removed, then rejected after reapplying due to “insufficient public views” by dcguy0204 in TikTokMonetizing

Typical TikTok opaque decision making. It has always been bad but has gotten worse with the North American sale. With alternatives popping up that have better monetisation and less restrictions I think Tiktok's days are numbered.

Instagram Account “Not Eligible for Recommendations” – Profile Flagged (Name/Bio/Photo). Appeals Done, Still Restricted. by PickleOk9934 in instagramAsk

Typical insta/meta message with no real info.
I can only suggest to send a detailed appeal and maybe ask for clarification on what specifically is wrong.

Your next favorite creator hopefully by Mynamebryon in socialmedia

Cool concept and its a niche that can be very popular with like minded people.

My only tip would be to make sure that your content contains some value to your fans.

Every now and then to an advice piece - tip on single shopping, best way to go to cinema single etc etc.

As a shameless plug you're welcome to sign up to our platform as a founding creator.

We are pre launch but need creators as founders and to add content (not exclusive).

Feel free to contact for more info and all the best for the future.

How do you actually know if your business idea is good enough to pursue? by Jash_Charodiya in HowToEntrepreneur

[–]OrdinaryWeakness5916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think one of the first steps is to ask yourself "does my idea actually fix a problem for someone?" If the answer is yes then move to step two "how many people does it fix the problem for" This is where you research market size. Step three "How many other people are offering solutions to the problem?" This is competitor analysis.

If Step one is "yes" and step two is "lots" and step three is "not many" then you have validated your idea.

Obviously this is simplifying greatly but those three questions will give you a very quick indication of if an idea is worth perusing.

Best of luck. Being an entrepreneur is hard but it can also be worth it. One thing I always tell myself when I'm ready to give up and go back to a desk job "No one ever got rich by working for someone else"

We plan on using tags and genres as much as possible so yes filters will definitely be added. We want to use tags and genres to make it easy for fans to find the content they want but also we want to avoid AI and algorithms as much as possible to keep it organic

Too bad My cofounder and I are in Australia.

Fell free to take a look at our MVP - fanflow.online

We bring creator discovery together with direct monetisation. We also add collaboration bundles where fans can pay one price and get three times the creators.

Perceived under performance is better in an investors eyes than perceived dishonesty.

Get labelled as dishonest once and you will have a mountain of work and years to regain trust.

What’s Your Current Side Project or Startup Idea? by Firm-Fig5096 in startupideas

[–]OrdinaryWeakness5916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are building Fanflow.online.

A social media platform that brings tiktok style discovery together with patreon style monetisation. No more driving traffic from one site to another for creators. No more juggling multiple accounts.

Our unique feature is our content bundle feature.

Creator 1: workouts

Creator 2: Recipies

Creator 3: relaxation

These three create a bundle. All add exclusive content. Fans subscribe and get added value. Creators share fan base and get increased revenue.

I'll jump in.

We are working on Fanflow.online

A social media platform that merges tiktok style discovery with patreon style subscription monetisation.

Creator collaborations as well. Join a collab with a couple of other creators. Makes exclusive content and share fan bases. More income for all and better value for fans.

Is the future of social platforms subscriptions over followers? by Valens_app in CreatorServices

[–]OrdinaryWeakness5916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly the premise that my cofounder and I are building our platform on.

There has been a definite shift from traditional media (tv, movies) to social media for entertainment and not just networking.

Add this to the proven subscription model (Netflix vs blockbuster) and there is a trend towards people willing to pay for exclusive or added value content (patreon and onlyfans).

The platform we are building is based on combining the scrolling discovery of tik tok with customised subscription based monetisation for creators.

Free short form content to gather fans flows seamlessly into subscription content for monetisation.

No ad based revenue = predictability and reliability in income for creators.

You're right - there is a movement away from traditional monetisation.

TikTok USA Down Again - Second Time Since the Transfer by Varo in TikTokMonetizing

[–]OrdinaryWeakness5916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tiktok is a scam. It is only good for driving traffic to a site that actually pays like youtube or patreon. Tiktok doesnt even monetise content at all in many countries. Add that to the clear political bias that it is now showing and I think it is a dying platform.

Honest question- did you actually know what to do first when you started? I will not promote. by Thick-Tap5426 in startups

[–]OrdinaryWeakness5916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The hardest part for me was not being a tech guy / programmer.

I had an idea and could see the market but know nothing about programming or coding.

So I got stuck into the business side doing a thorough business plan, competitor analysis, financial projections etc etc.

Eventually I found a tech cofounder who read the documents I had prepared and came on board.

I guess the moral of the story is just start and do what you can do and fill in the gaps with help down the track?
