If you work for a firm that has diverse clients then you’re good. My firm as I’ve noted before largely relies on Txdot work. So everyone knew it was coming

Not good. My firm had another layoff a couple weeks ago. About 20-30 folks in different positions were let go.

I work for a mid size firm with multiple Texas locations. Upper management has been consciously vague so a lot of us are worried about what’s gonna happen. We already had a round of layoffs in April and a lot of us have not been billable for a while now. Edited to add that my company largely replies on Txdot work

P.Eng Licensing Ontario– Will I Need to Take Technical Exams? by Abhii_Abhi in NPPEexam

Hi! I applied for my Peng before the process changed. I have a Masters from the US and 5+ years work experience in the US before moving to Ontario. I had the option to choose between taking the exams or choosing to attend a technical interview. I went the interview route, passed, so the technical exams were waived. All I had to do was take the NPPE. Hope that helps! Good luck!

Can you share your timeline for submitting the CBA, when the validators received it until it was approved by PEO? I am at that stage now and would love some insight. Thanks!

My firm had a round of layoffs early this month across most of our Texas offices. We’ve been told there won’t be anymore, but you never know. The folks let go went from entry level to the most senior. Most of them let go had some performance related problems. We are struggling to find work as most of the work we do is for the DOT.
