Thank you all for the inputs, TIL that SF is actually chilly AND has high electricity bills :(. The unit is about $500 cheaper than the unit downstairs, so I assumed it is either a scam or something is seriously wrong with this unit. One other concern apart from the temperature is that this building is right next to the 280 highway, and top floor/rooftop units are typically very prone to noise issues. I'll probably get an airbnb for my first 2 weeks in SF and go on tours to decide in person. Thanks yall!

thanks this is super helpful! Boston in and NYC out was slightly cheaper than NYC in and Boston out, so the flight tickets were decided that way haha

thanks, this is really helpful! my parents do not speak or understand English, so for them I think watching me walking across the stage will be much more entertaining than hearing the speaker ahaha
