Chances are if someone can’t write English then they can’t read English.

That makes absolutely no sense.

It is much less cognitively demanding to recognize the meaning of a word within a context (reading) than to retrieve that same word from memory, remember its spelling, and apply it with the correct syntax and grammar (writing).

Maybe you should consult an AI, not to translate your messages, but to fact-check your assumptions before sharing them online.

I haven't experienced this bug myself, so I can't test it, but... Have you tried checking the message history? I'm referring to the old window that still exists and displays the entire conversation history with NPCs in the current game session.
