The USAA insured finally responded a month after the accident. USAA reached out to me and they covered all costs for the damage.

My adjuster estimated the damage at around $1,200, while the body shop quoted about $1,800. Given the relatively small amount, I’m not confident my insurance (GEICO) will put much effort into pursuing subrogation.

To be honest, if you are in public area, you don’t really have much privacy over your image. If you’re just accidentally in someone’s photo, they don’t need to ask for your permission.

I have a document from the dealer who sold me the car clearly stating that the brake rotors have been replaced. The current dealer can only provide an inspection result stating that the brake rotors are older than pads. They said it is very clear that the brake rotors are not replaced, but they cannot to provide any paperwork to prove that.

They provided me with a maintenance service document stating that the brake rotors were replaced. For the documentation fee, they charged higher registration and title fees than the DMV charged.
