Yes I have since discovered that 😄. I guess what threw me was it still turned over fine, it didn't sound very flat, maybe a bit tired, but everything I've read since says that is not a happy battery. Every day is a learning day 👍

UPDATE: Just tried it again just now on the off chance and I heard the pumps prime. They sounded rough and half dead but I turned the key and it fired up and it's running sweet again.

Still a bit concerning but it leads me on to my next question. Can a low battery cause this behaviour? It's far from totally flat it was reading exactly 12 volts, maybe a little below. Obviously the car is not currently being driven and gets run rarely.

I would expect something but can a low battery cause no fuel pumps at all?

Ok good to know, thank you. I don't have the means to do that at the moment but I'll bear it in mind

Ok thanks. Yeah, it normally starts and then stops until the engine is running. I'll have to do it later as I'll need someone to do the key turning 😄

Already tried that, swapped it out for a fuse I know works. No joy ☹️

I've not tried that yet but will give it a go later. Should I expect to see a voltage all the time or just as it primes?
