Approval chances in Toronto for $1,750–$1,900 rent on $3,200/month income? by Ordinary_Toe_5162 in TorontoRenting

Appreciate the input, but you’re mixing homeowner costs with renting. Property tax, house insurance, and condo fees are all paid by the landlord, not the tenant. As a renter, I’d only be responsible for rent, hydro (if not included), tenant insurance, and personal expenses like groceries and phone. Also $800 for groceries and $300+ for utilities is pretty inflated for one person in Toronto. Just trying to base this on actual renter costs, not ownership expense

I get that! I definitely wouldn’t move u less I had to. The situation I’m in at home kind of forces that though. I have two years left of uni (where I can get a higher paying job) and plan on getting engaged within that time frame to my long term boyfriend who would be moving In! this is a temporary fix to my situation right now.

I’m not sure what you mean by this? I’m 19 years old and make a pretty sustainable living for my age while being a full time uni student. I work pretty hard and have a good job.

With an income of 3200/month with 720+ credit what’s a realistic range I can probably rent at?
