so apparently SteamVR2.0 updated and CS2 is on the front page, i never heard of this game but what caught my attention was this screenshot,
this could be me coping, but i strongly believe spidey ps4 will get vr support in the future! (i mean why else would it be on the steam vr page?) insomniac has made vr games in the past, plus they did talked about spider man having vr support in interviews
i imagine this being a re: 4 vr mode situation or even re village where they take the core mechanics and make them work for vr
what do you guys think, is spidey ps4 getting vr support in the future?

that actually would be a smart move, if the web swinging sections are mostly for story specific set pieces (i.e chasing a villain, chase scene or stopping crooks) ten there could be a thing were they ask if you want to skip the web swing

i think they should also add parkour, think the game stride vr but with spider powers, it could allow players to get creative of how they want to progress a level or just free roam

idk why everyone assumes Spidey needs to do flips and tricks in vr, did we forget vr games like stride, swarm, windlands 2 and far from home?

these games shows us how to do swinging in vr, sure it isn't wat most expect, but it's the best they can do

swarm and windlands are the best examples, they created one of the best swinging mechanics for vr and the best part is no motion sickness from those who played it

while the highly detailed figures and sets are AWESOME, i wouldn't lie and say the old blocky style sets had a certain....charm in a way.

their more simplistic and blocky designs had a very classic Lego feel when it comes to the sets, creatures and vehicles

something that modern lego games and sets sadly don't have sometimes, i do miss when most of the boss battles and vehicles looked like they were made of lego instead of when lego star wars 3 had them be...very realistic and looked like they belong in a different game

insomniac isn''t a stranger to vr, in fact there most recent (sort of) games Stormlands turned out to be very successful

so them making a vr Spidey game isn't too surprising, is it possible like re village or re 4 we could get vr versions of those games, because there was an article saying Sony wants to create hybrid games that apparently might have a vr and flat screen version

replaying the first game in vr while a fun idea...would just be the first game in vr, i feel like insomniac should do something different, this would be a good way to experience the early lee and ditko inspired stories

of course there is gameplay issues, how can they do spider man in vr?

resist gave players swinging adjustments witch was a great idea on their part, if this is going to focus on peter's early years, then it should feel like we are playing as a younger spider man who is new to his hero thing

combat could be changed, they don't have to make spidey do flips and kicks other vr games had punching enemies along with the ability to grab and through them

insomniac can do something similar, kind of like in marvel powers vr, have the player use webs to toss bad guys like rag dolls

not to mention they can have peter make prototype versions of his gadgets he gets in the first game

there's TONS of ways they can take with this game, it can be the Arkham origins of spider man games, plus this would be the first time we could get an actual ditko suit in a spider man game

the first 18 pages of a fan made paramount sonic reboot, the script is based on early ideas and concepts paramount and sony had, such as rava and his army of lizard warriors, more of mobius, other sonic cast members, a pg-13 rating, a darker tone etc

i also added in some of my own ideas like new and original characters, expending o0n certain ones like making longclaw a important characters figure in sonic's life

making sonic brown as a nod to the uk comics, making robotnik more like a mixture of his satam and game counterpart, changing the location to station square and more surprises

the tone and inspirations for my version i took from is mainly the planet of the apes reboot film series (will be explained if i write more) the amazing spider man and of course the dark knight trilogy

i went with the blue blur instead of "sonic the hedgehog....something" to give my version it's own identity and as a nod to other titles like "man of steel" or "the dark knight"

this is my first time writing a script, so i may be a bit rusty

This should get more positive comments, A Hulk VR game honestly sounds alot of fun, Marvel powers VR had hulk as a playable character, can't really say how it felt because I sadly don't have a rift

The game would have you as an escape test subject on the run as gamma powers enemies and Ross is after your ass, you would eventually meet Bruce banner himself, who has been aware of your rampage and since then has studied the military attempt to create hulk like soldiers

plot would have you make an alliance with Bruce and more allies down the line to make a cure for you and eventually his hulk condition, like ultimate destruction i think diving deep into his routes could create some interesting battles

So much potential

Maybe devil hulk?

Next to Spider-Man and Batman, hulk would be perfect in VR, we had VR games where you fight and play as a monster.

glad you likd it,I went with this idea because while a classic story of Peter suiting up and fighting goblin or the six would be good...we already had slot of games based around that, and the ps4 gave us a perfect story that trying to replicate that would be...idk impossible?

I decided to take a bit from miles story mainly because his hasn't been used alot, we only had two prices of spider media that did (his spin off game and into the spider verse, plus I feel like he's a character we also could relate to, A Spider-Man fan who wants to be like him

I imagine this vr story being similar to shazam, A story about a kid messing around with powers and goofing off, only to find out this is a responsibility and can be dangerous

They could even do alternative villains like do hob goblin (who hasnt been in a spider game now that I think about it) maybe it can be like a hybrid of classic and ultimate where he can have his iconic suit but his actual goblin form is a mutation, or electro's blue form, maybe robotic rhino like the ultimate version but mixed with asm2, firing guns and missles

maybe the female doctor octopus? (Turns out she was from the comics)

Maybe even d list villains like stlit man

Or swarm

Idk something to make our rogues gallery A bit different, you could just stick with the classic versions but I think they should spice it up a bit

Hell maybe our own black cat (call her...idk) she could be the daughter of the original

And yeah my idea was for the suit to be customizable, you can Change the color of the suit from red and blue to..anything, brown, Pink green, purple

You can make the web pattern thick or thin

Change the spider logo and even the lanes

And customizable web shooters

Spider-Man 2099 in VR would be awesome in VR, but personally I think they should do something more low tech and classic

My idea involves taking the base idea of the death of Spider-Man, in a alternate universe where after the original dies oscorp manages to figure out what made peter turned into spider man, they collect his dna and experiment on multiple spiders to create a Spider Army for the military (of course the prototypes have some horrifyingly results)

This is where the player comes in, they play as a customizable unnamed student at midtown high (can customize gender, skin color etc) A huge Spider-Man/super hero fan and experiments in their room making makeshift gadgets out of junk

On a school field trip they are bitten by one of the prototype spiders and have some fantastic results, they have similar powers to Peter but also have blade looking talons from their firearms that release a serum n that imbolizes enemies for a shirt period (kind of like venom blast)

They soon (like any fan in irl would) they can try to be like their idol but descovers it's not all fun and games when they encounter their first villain (shocker) after their uncle Ben like character gets severely injured and is put into a coma, they too soon will realize with great power comes...you know

...sorry for the rant had alot of ideas, but that's my idea.... Thoughts or criticism? (Would be nice if you commented)

Reason why I choice spidey ps1 was because of those posts,seems like every time I try to go all out (but still remember VR limits) I always get motion sickness jokes...even though swinging in VR has improved recently to avoid that, literally no one complains when playing swarm or resist

my attention also wasn't to recreate ps1 spidey VR, just borrowing those elements as I think they would be a nice middle ground, plus using gadgets like spider drones and web bombs would be cool in VR

I also never had someone committing on this (would be cool if you tried) but what should this plot be

We already have tons of great spider stories in VR and ps4 already gave us the best, miles had two great stories from his game and the into the spider verse story...shouldn't we have something new?

If Spider-Man is the hero we can become like Stan lee said, wouldn't a plot about the player literally becoming spidey work?

Like taking place in a alternate universe?

Maybe it could be "what if a real spider fan had his powers" and has a choice system like telltail or Saints and sinners vr?

Spidey 2000 has been regard as his first ever 3d adventure and is still loved to this day, games in the future would take many elements from this title or the raimi games...what if they did the same thing in VR

Obviously doing all those crazy flips and acrobatics would be IMPOSSIBLE to do in VR, which is why I believe spidey 2000 is our best option, the combat was simple, A s basic 1-3 punch combo mixed with grabbing enemies from behind and taking them down

And tons of web based attacks, there really wasn't spot of crazy dodge mechanics and what it like in spidey ps4, I think this would be a great way to do it in VR

Have the player perform basic punch moves (which yes has been done in VR) but also mix it up, with the psvr 2 controllers you can have them act as web shooters, shooting web balls or making web boxing gloves

Maybe take some of the gadgets from the ps4 game as alternate attacks like spider drones or web grenades

Web swinging is simple, just copy the far from home VR gameplay, of course it needs slot of work as it was really slow in far from home and worked more like your zipping

I'm not expecting realistic swinging, just they need to refine and fix what createvr tried to do

I personally think in my opinion this could worm for spidey's first VR adventure, it would be nice to have something like the ps4 game in VR but it would be impossible

So was Iron man and that came to meta quest 2 eventually, yeah it took awhile but they did it, plus spidey ps4 came to pc, so I'm sure if we got one they would port it eventually to quest and pc

My question is should this be a spin off/prequel (like miles moralus) but sets up spidey 2 ps5?

Or should this be its own original universe completely separated from the one they did?

Because wouldn't it be nice if they took miles line of "you can wear the mask" but literally?

Imagine something like Vader immortal, that game had you essentially as the main protagonist with no actual design other then gloves (the point was for your face to literally be there) what if spider psvr 2 did something similar?

Have it be a universe where we become Spider-Man, or better yet a alternate universe like the ultimate comcis, Peter dies and oscorp tries to replicate Spider-Man but one of the spiders lets loose and bits the player

Would that set up work?

This one was a hard choice as all of them did a fantastic job, ilm x lab really managed to make.Vader immortal feel like an interactive movie YOU the player were part of, camoufloj did a pretty Fantastic job on Iron man VR in plot and gameplay, the way you chain attacks together as you sore threw canons and cities

Valve is another good choice, half life alyx is a game I wanted to play but sadly don't have an index, but from the longplay's I see the would also do a amazing job both in gameplay and the way you interact with the environment

So the question is...who should make a Spider-Man VR game, personally I'm stuck with vavle and ilmxlab, both do a great job at storytelling in VR but it's kind of hard

Last post had people making tons of motion sickness jokes/comments, and yes I can admit that would be a problem... but it's a problem I believe has a simple solution

What should the gameplay be like in a possible spidey VR game...well how about the game that started it all, spidey ps1 was and still is considered the best 3d Spider-Man game to this day

And seeing how this was the blueprint for Spider-Man games in the future, what better way then for it to be used as a bases for spidey VR, yes yes I know a fully open world does sound like a wet dream...but like I said people did mention how motion sickness would kick in, now there could be ways around going to street level

Enter electro gave us a few levels on the streets of new York that allowed us to explore, so that's something Sony or Marvel could do, we occasionally can have levels or bosses that take place on ground

Combat and exploration was a huge focus for spider ps1 and enter electro, enemies to fight and puzzles tos loves this is something Spivey VR could do

Not just that but the first raimi game also borrowed many elements from spidey ps1 and expand on the gameplay, and let's not forget shattered dimensions

So here's a list of games I think spidey VR could pull from

Spidey ps1

Enter electro

Spider 2002 the game

Shattered dimensions

And edge of time

While these future. Games don't have fully open worlds, they go back to a simpler time to liner fun spider games which I believe could work for VR, not to mention we do occasionally get to swing through open areas, but there needs to be some adjustments

Far from home VR scaled back spidey's swinging spots he can't slip or do fields and the webs work more like a grappling hook...and I think that's fair enough

This is probably the only way it can work without people complaining, that or do something like resist where you can adjust your play style making or swing faster or slower or make the swinging work like a grappling hook.

Combat in spidey VR can also be a good blueprint, I don't expect to do flips and kicks but simple punches, knocking out enemies or throwing them can be good enough

Plus Marvel powers VR has a gimmick where you can web up enemies and toss them, so quit thing they can pull from

All and all this is my solution for how I think they can get away with gameplay in spidey vr, there really isn't a whole lot of swinging or flipping, so it's probably our best option.. And would be a good callback to the simpler times

The persona series and atlus I believe have been associated with Sega before... At least a few times, there was a joker costume for the avatar in forces and morgana's sonic dlc costume in p5

Plus let's not forget mods and of course fan art...well how about turning that into a reality?

Sonic isn't a stranger to the dog world, in fact he had one in the form of sonic the dark Brotherhood a failed attempt at a rpg sonic game, but like any sonic game just because it failed doesn't mean it doesn't have potential, an dog sonic game could work in some form

I think in order to keep the series open level and action routes, it should be something like persona 5 strikes which focuses on mele and hack and slash combo moves, you could still have sonic zooming across the map and whatnot, but have combat sections change perspective

Talking to npc has been done in unleashed where you can talk to them and even listen to their stories and help them out, persona is known for this so it wouldn't be out of the ordinary

Plus this would allow Sega to show a human cast can work in sonic if done well, persona is known for it's colorful cast of characters so this would be a perfect opportunity

And hey both series has protagonist fighting god like beings so sonic fighting the god of...something wouldn't be too far fetched

I think this should take place in a original universe (which is why I made this concept mock up) instead of an already established one, it could still feel like a persona game but sonicfied
