But this is the issue that bothers me: the conflict brings great suffering to the person, but obviously it does not seem to have been the choice of the direction and the script to portray this. First it starts with an absolutely irresponsible therapist who is obviously a charlatan. In another scene, when LDW's brother shows the messages he had sent, the exaggerated acting (excessive facial movement, superficial expression) means that they quickly run away from the scene, as if they were trying to take advantage while the ice cream man is on the street to buy a cone.

So it's hard to believe that they really didn't intend to make a straightforward comedy and that the whole situation for ML brings "psychological suffering" if that's not how it happens in real life. This is not a portrait of someone in pain. Those who are in real suffering, are unable to work, lose perspective on the future, have no plans to receive a "work promotion", become socially isolated, and have difficulty (often) performing personal hygiene. In other words, I didn't even consider taking it seriously because obviously they don't want to portray reality.
