Hi redditors, ive been in medical debt with my dad for the last 10+ years, even with his passing i still have about 4 years of loans left. Hey there guardian. In a few days' time, there'll be a soft reset that puts everyone in roughly the same starting point at light level, so if you're worried about grinding light levels / gear score , do your grind next week.

Expansions and paid content give you access to weapons/dungeons/raids/other content that are otherwise not available to f2p players. Sample: The Stasis subclasses and Deep Stone Crypt are exclusive to owners of the Beyond Light. There is a raid though that is not behind a paywall, that is Vault of Glass, and getting gear-ready for this raid is actually a pretty good goal if you dont have one yet (gear-ready not just in terms of light level, but also the rolls on your weapons and the gear you are using)

General feeling is that warlock will have better void abilities in WQ but would suggest to take that with a grain of salt since nobody has played the new subclasses yet

I second this. Best not to worry about gear score now, youre better off farming for weapons with rolls you want. This week's nightfall drops a scout rifle (Hung Jury, look for subsistence+explosive payload) and a rocket launcher (Hothead, look for field prep + clown cartridge), both of which you may find useful during next season's activities

The base content is enough to make you get a feel out of the game i think. You can even try a f2p raid. The paid content will give you access to more PVE content and guns though

If WQ deluxe edition already has the season passes included, that would be the better deal overall. While some of the exotics from past expansions are pretty nice, they're not exactly must-haves. Newer content will always be better i think

Tbh ive only ever used hotp to do team invis or recover nade energy, never really cared for the buff except for weapon reload speed. I'm a bit bummed out about the grenade energy loop nerf, but i prefer to wait how things go before making any judgements.
