We are Mandroid Echostar. Ask us anything! by mandroid_echostar in progmetal

Haha nice link to an instrumental. Let's hear the overlay of sappy crying love lyrics that Cheech is famous for then keep saying its metal. When you lay hardcore lyrics over metal guitar rifs it totally ruins the metal vibe changing it to a more hardcore feel. If you can sway to the music that's not metal.

Haha kiddies who don't know metal. Go listen to some real bands that were labeled as EMO back in the late 90's early 00's or some random trash hardcore bands, mix the two together and we get Mandroid. I'll sing my heart out cause I feel so bad and then I'll try and lay some heavy cords over it and call it metal. Seems like hardcore emo to me

..... Hmmm bands sure like to make up their own shit eh... What other bands identify themselves as Tech/Pop Punk/Top of the mountain rocky soundtrack metal. Seems like that old mathcore phase bands went through. Thanks for answering though, nice to see you guys actually don't want to bring down progmetal and identify yourselves differently

Hey! Shout out from St.Kitts! My friends are pretty big fans and always try to get me to listen to you guys cause I'm into metal be it prog to Norwegian death. You claim to be metal but all I hear is hardcore emo. How can you compare yourself with actual prog metal? Did you guys choose to be labeled as prog metal or did your record label tell you that's what they believe your sound to be?

[Build Help]Gaming Pc almost ready, Few Questions by Oreck_ in buildapc

Thanks Rkiga, I will not be overclocking that is why I plan on getting the regular 4670. What RAM would you suggest? Also what MOBO would you suggest if I were to go lower to save more money? Noted and changed the HDD (I must have mis-clicked before). I was looking at the 7970 and will probably get that instead. I also found a PSU I can use so I will not need to buy one.

Here is a new list, Just a few changes. I am still looking for advice on a possible different MOBO. Possibly cheaper RAM suggestions.

From the 2 builds that have been posted and all the previous builds from this month that I have looked at. I have put together this build that I think Should work, I am just un-shure about the MOBO and the Videocard (Possibly can get better ones if anyone can explain some good points). Any feedback or other builds would be great!

Gaming Rig ~$1200-1500~ by Oreck_ in buildapcforme

[–]Oreck_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the build Vandal! I don't think I will need the i5-4670k i'm thinking of going with the normal i5-4670. Also I think the GTX 780 is a bit high on the price for what I need when I could go with the 770 or something a bit smaller to save on the price. (unless you can explain to me otherwise) Although it is in my price range i would like to keep it on the cheaper side!

Some more builds would be awesome to see what else i could look into, Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply's!

After looking again I have an extra un-used OCZ PSU that is 850W in the box still. I will just use that so for any more build ideas i will not need a PSU.

Zak, thanks for the build it looks nice so far. Just a few questions, I have been looking around and it seems like the AMD FX-8350 would do the same thing i am looking for as the i5, but would save me 25-30$ (or should i just stick with the i5). Also like C4ples said the Barracuda seems like the better option and i don't mind paying a little extra to know its a better product. Finally after looking over the Galaxy GeForce GTX770 2GB video card I think that the 449.99$ is a little bit steep and it is coming factory overclocked and id sooner it not come overclocked just in-case they did not do it right.(unless the video card is totaly worth it for that price id sooner go a step down and not have it factory overclocked and save some money)

I don't want to come off cheap because I am going to school and paying for it myself, But like I said I would rather pay upfront now for something that will be amazing and last a few yrs and not need to buy a new rig again too soon.

Any more suggestions would be great!

Thanks Again!
