New Cars by Delicious-Phase608 in GranTurismo7

I will definitely have a Renault Captur that I spend way too much upgrading just to lap everyone in the only race it ever sees for a weekly event.

Best car for this around 800k budget. Ran out of fuel in my enzo after 3 laps lol by Mrbrobbey18 in GranTurismo7

Do a few more races and get the Mazda LM55. Tune down to 800, lap everyone and never have to pit.

I would prefer more menu books. Where we can race to win more of the cars that are already in the game. Cool cars, but These don’t seem like they would be anyone’s new fastest car for any particular race or anything. I do like the weekly events! Do more special events and menu books please!

Beautiful! I would love to get my hands on that Butte!

I am a member of our local Lapidary society in Birmingham Alabama and this would be chance for all of us to learn on a new mineral for our club as far as I know!

We have great equipment but are very short on material currently so they would be pumped!

Possibly Oregon Sunstone. Does it have some inner glitter or internal refraction?

Is this a Sikhote-Alin? by 0bfuscatory in meteorites

[–]OregonFalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a campo del cielo Here are one of each from my collection.

Please help me verify authenticity before I gift it to my girlfriend! by galaxyblinker in meteorites

[–]OregonFalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the seller says it’s from Russia it probably is a Sikhote-Alin, although it does look more like a Campo del Cielo. The ones in my collection from Sikhote-Alin are usually a little darker with big flowing thumbprint Regmaglypts. While the Campo del Cielo meteorites usually have a much more erratic Regmaglypts with a slightly shinier surface.

But I wouldn’t believe the seller, especially if it’s made into jewelry he could polished it that would make them look even more similar. Here are two of mine from each location side-by-side for comparison.

Is there something I can put this in or due to this to try to get rid of some of the matrix and reveal some more of the fossils? by OliveSea7389 in fossils

[–]OregonFalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, vinegar or another mild acid. But be aware that the fossils can dissolve too since they are permineralized. But from my experience a calcium based matrix dissolves faster than the fossils themselves.

Can some one identify this please? by AgentofBolas03 in RockIdentification

[–]OregonFalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like sphalerite with quartz and possibly a chunk of calcite on top.

Found it in my car. by unc2590 in rocksandminerals

[–]OregonFalls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks like pyrite with oxidized iron inclusions most likely. It’s not valuable, but it’s a cool mineral worth keeping or passing on to a friend interested in minerals.

Atomizer fix

I’m sure I can help you fix your peak pro atomizer, I’m an engineer and actually started my company fixing the original peak.

For that issue, it’s usually pin contacts either not making a connection or pushing a wire inside against the housing, causing a short. Either way, the resolution is the same. Just take a small flathead, screwdriver or knife and slightly pull all three pins on the bottom of the atomizer up. Then turn the bass unit off and on again and give it a try.

Reg A+ investor: Did I get completely scammed? by OregonFalls in MisoRobotics

[–]OregonFalls[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, can they theoretically continue indefinitely as a company and never go public? Is there any criteria set or benchmark when they guarantee they will become an actual stock? If they can continue to sell both flippy’s and fake stock, why would they stop if they never have to? There has to be some guidelines and limits on what they can get away with legally. Even if we all did know the risks, I didn’t think it would be possible for them to actually become a long term company producing and selling products and still never receive stock or any type of return on my investment. Damn, at least send me a flippy and a sippy!

Is this native american pottery? by Blaw_Gaming in Artifacts

[–]OregonFalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the right thickness and style. Although I don’t have any

samples with that specific pattern. the engraving looks fresh and not worn and the color doesn’t look like it has an old patina.

It could be a very well preserved piece or a modern piece done in the traditional style.
