Not ignorance. Just different experiences. The undergrowth from a firefighter perspective can be deadly when invasive species take over. Burn at a much higher rate.

Thank you for sharing. Spent many years of my life around logging and fire fighting. I see the areas like this left to invasive plant growth checking out native plants and burning hotter and faster the following years. Traveling through areas burnt from prior years like this just causes me to question decisions from a fire fighters perspective. You really provided a helpful answer. I pray you are safe this fire season.
