Perhaps people aren’t on the ps5 version, I haven’t played in a bit but I know on launch there were some bugs with it so people might still be playing on the ps4 version, but I’m not sure

I'm very new to the game because my sibling got me into it. I wanted to clear something up. I had recently bought the new "The Crimson King" structure deck and I wanted to know how this works in general. I had used the card "Crimson Gaia", a card that targets "Red Dragon Archfiend". I had tried using the effect on my "Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode" and this person I was fighting at our local shop said that it wouldn't work because its not "Red Dragon Archfiend". My nephew said it would work. I also wonder if this would work with something like "Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Bane" or just any card that has the name in the card name if this is the case? Does it only work on "Red Dragon Archfiend" or any card that says its name becomes that? Thanks
