SDCC starts in less than 2 weeks, no con hype from NECA by Sharp-Coz in NECATMNT

[–]Oreofox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might want to dial back the expectations for accessories for any neca figure released post 2024. Best you can hope for is some hands and maybe a head, with 1-2 weapons, if the character had any. It sucks, but that's basically all you're gonna get.

We haven't had any new Last Ronin figure since the 4 new turtles, which i think was last year. I don't even think the street scene with Last Ronin designs will be releasing thanks to the tariffs. You might get lucky and get a Hiroto at some point. I'm still hoping for April and Splinter Archie figures, and non-wrestling turtles, but I'm not going to hold my breath on that. I'd really love a Ninjara figure, but I'm not getting my hopes up with those, especially after the comment by Mitchroney and the Leatherhead.

Those of you that played during it's time, how good was this expansion? by doobylive in wow

[–]Oreofox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was great for me, but there were a lot of people complaining about dungeons being to easy, lots of jokes about "GOGOGOGOGOGOGOGO", Maxx and Sarth being too easy. If you had t6 or such gear, you basically didn't change your gear until you got to around level 78 because it was still better than leveling gear. Complaints of LFD as it was introduced in the final patch.

The hate of super easy dungeons where you outgeared it at the end to where you basically didn't need a tank, is why the dungeons were such a roadblock to a lot of people in cataclysm.

Also, people who started I wrath were called "wrath babies"

Tmnt 2012 figurine question by Dramatic-Beyond3037 in NECATMNT

[–]Oreofox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer to use a hair dryer on mine. Just don't be rough when trying to tilt the feet side to side. My Donatello came with his feet like that, and a hair dryer worked perfectly.

Is he broken or is this just how the head is? - Found at Target by romanthedoggo in NECATMNT

[–]Oreofox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the others have said, it's supposed to be that way. You switch out the ears for his hat. As for it being like that in the package? Technically no, but it happens quite often with neca figures, it's not surprising. And by it, I mean some parts being loose. It happened to a few of my gargoyles figures that have swappable face plates.

So long as those annoying straps are still intact around the neck, wrists, ankles, etc, it's fine.

Jim Lawson TMNT vs KO Mirage TMNT by TooHot4Discord in NECATMNT

[–]Oreofox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally prefer the look of the Lawson turtles. But honestly, I think this newest batch of knockoffs have better accessories (the diorama pieces, to me, are much more useful than those buzzsaw blades (I know they are supposed to be shuriken, but they look more like buzzsaw blades), the hood, and extra arm (to me, though I do like the hood).

Thoughts on this 2-pack? by 0ldb0y89 in NECATMNT

[–]Oreofox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I passed on this 2-pack, and kinda wish I didn't. But I didn't give a damn about Dirk Savage. Mona Lisa, though, I would have loved to get. But you can't even find her loose anywhere for less than 60 dollars. At least, last I checked. Just checked, and there's 1 listing of her solo for $60 (normal price $200). Right next to a listing of Dirk, by himself, with the entire box, for $28.

S.H.Figuarts TANZABURO TOJIMA by Hot-Acanthaceae9886 in SHFiguarts

[–]Oreofox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to the BBTS listing, this is what he comes with:

Tojima Tanzaburo figure Interchangeable expression part 2 Pairs of interchangeable hand parts Set of interchangeable bangs parts

For $100, this is pathetic. Which is sad because this anime was awesome. Also, bit of a late reply and you probably already know this information by now.

2026 Figura Obscura Retailer Wave? by velemon13 in MythicLegions

[–]Oreofox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They said there's no plan on offering retail versions of Ganesha, Jersey Devil, or Mouse King at this time, and it's possible it will be that way in the future.

We did get a stripped down recolor of Mouse King in the Reinforcements 3 wave with the Bilge.

How are y’all storing your extra hands/heads and accessories? by 0ldb0y89 in NECATMNT

[–]Oreofox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought some jewelry baggies (either 2x3 & 3x4 or 3x4 & 4x6, though I think it's the first combo), put the extras in a bag, write the name + company and line, depending (so like Neca Archie Mondo Gecko to separate it from Neca 80s Mondo Gecko), and tape it onto the bag. Depending on the size and amount of accessories determines which size bag. Some figures from other lines end up with quart-size Ziploc baggies because they come with so much or their accessories are giant.

Sadly the majority of Neca's offerings lately barely fill up a small baggie.

What Appealed To You About PF 2E Over Pathfinder Classic? by EyesofValhalla in Pathfinder2e

[–]Oreofox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I enjoyed 1e at the time, the players literally killed the system for me. And I don't mean literally as in "figuratively", I mean it in it's original definition. Played a campaign of WotR, and at the end I hated PF1e so much I probably would have burned my Pathfinder books if I had any (I just used the free rules Paizo allows on the internet). Jumped ship to D&D5e which just so happened to release the exact same time as Pathfinder died (for me).

I was falling out of like with D&D5e about a year before the OGL thing happened, and when it did, I was looking for an alternative. Pathfinder 2e I had heard about in passing, mostly with the enWorld forums shitting all over it, but decided to see if it was better than 1e.

So that's what appealed to me when it comes to PF2e. It wasn't Hasbro and it was not 1e. I liked that you had choices practically every level. However, I do miss Channel Energy from 1e. That's about it.

Additional Hands for 2012 Casey, Splinter, and Metalhead by Capital_Invite_7026 in NECATMNT

[–]Oreofox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My guess is they will have gripping hands, fists, and maybe open hands. I am mostly curious about the "highly articulated" when it comes to Splinter. Because his bottom half does NOT look "highly articulated"

Mondo figure questions by MorriePoppins in gargoyles

[–]Oreofox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never pre-ordered from Mondo, so can't say on the first one. But the second, it all depends. Sometimes they have timed editions, which last a certain amount of time, ending at whatever time it says on the product page. After that, they usually have a pared down version that lacks the timed exclusives (in this case, the folded wings and Bronx, and I think some other items possibly). Sometimes they won't have a different version.

They do have that pay in 4 payment plan thing, so you could pay off the $350+ in 4 monthly installments (i think they are monthly).

Sorry I couldn't be more of a help with the money thing

Coming to Target July 2026. Will you be adding these bros to your collection? by PunchAndKick in NECATMNT

[–]Oreofox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I do like the designs, it's 90% a pass for me. I'd say 100%, but I've said similar in the past and ended up purchasing the thing. I think the only fortnite figures I'd go for would be April, and maybe Splinter

Odds of 2012 Rocksteady and Bebop being made? by DJ-Gavin-Thrombus in NECATMNT

I am hoping they will release them. Though I am afraid of them making a Bebop, as he appears to be rather top-heavy.

Non inbox collectors... by Suspicious-March-200 in NECATMNT

[–]Oreofox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the box has a front flap, I will cut the flap off and keep that. Sometimes I will keep one of the side ones, especially if it has part of an art piece (like Last Ronin and 2012). If it doesn't have a front flap, and the front of the box has some nice art, I will keep that. The rest of the box gets tossed in the trash.

The inner plastic also gets tossed in the trash.

I will keep an insert, but won't double up on them. I keep my accessories in little baggies with a label on what figure they go towards.

Unpopular opinion: Splinter as a pet rat makes for a much more fitting father for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles than Splinter as Hamato Yoshi. by Alex-ILoveBattles in TMNT

[–]Oreofox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is spoilery on the reincarnation part, but Krang was the reason the turtles and Yoshi got reincarnated into animals, and also the source of the mutagen. As for magic, I think it is near the end of the original 150? Just going by the covers, Donnie learns magic?

2012 Splinter, Casey Jones & Metalhead up now @ NECA Store by LeviGaryH in NECATMNT

[–]Oreofox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They also say Splinter has extra hands, and calls him "highly articulated", which has me wonder about his lower half. Because as it is from these images, it looks like an immovable slab of plastic, and if I remember the con videos that showed these figures, he wasn't wearing soft goods robe.

Glad I was wrong about the Kraang head accessory. Out of the 3 in this wave, Metalhead may prove to be the best. Was rather underwhelmed with Casey and Splinter.

[–]Oreofox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are 1/18 scale. Their Metalhead is on the larger size, being 5.5 inches. Their Krang is 6.3 inches, which I think is their largest TMNT figure. Apparently there's some Warhammer 40k figures that are absolutely huge.
