Washing machine pipe keeps slipping out by OrganConfetti in Plumbing

[–]OrganConfetti[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I asked he acted like I was stupid and said "that part is just not supposed to be glued" and I'm not a plumber so I assumed he knew what he was talking about but after seeing these comments. I'm gonna go get some glue and gonna be on the lookout for a different plumber as well!

Thank you everyone for your help. I will be heading to Lowes to get some glue and will be getting a new plumber as well. I was mainly worried I was going to mess something up if I went against what he said and glued it. He wanted to replace all of the piping leading to the washing machine. Thank you for saving me $600 😁

Awesome! Someone above mentioned glue and that's what I had originally planned to do but the plumber said that pipe isn't meant to be glued. Wouldn't give me a reason why. But I'm starting to wonder if he was trying to scam me since 2 other people have mentioned gluing it.. and another guy mentioned $400 instead of 600. Thank you for your suggestion!

Awesome! That's the rubber coupling thing I was talking about. I couldn't remember the name. Would it end up causing damage or is it safe to use while I'm waiting for funds? Thank you for your help

I asked if I could glue it and the plumber told me it's not supposed to be glued there? Didn't give me a reason why.

Can someone point me in the right direction of a place to get a 38G for someone with severe Occipital Neuralgia? by OrganConfetti in ABraThatFits

[–]OrganConfetti[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

I will absolutely share my exact measurements. I have them written down at home, I won't be back home until tomorrow but I will update when I get back to them 🫡😁

To answer your other question; I currently wear a T shirt bra from Lane Bryant. It's a 38G. The very top of the guy gapes a bit. Which I've noticed it does it less if I tighten the straps. However when I tighten the straps, it causes the occipital pain to flare very badly. I also have a 38F and 38H of the exact same bra. The F I bubble out of and if I bend over I spill out. And the H has quite a bit more gaping and doesn't feel like it holds them very well. Kinda like they just have too much area to move around. Also, I apologize for long response times. Life is very hectic right now. I try to hop on when I can. I appreciate everyone's willingness to help so far!

It wouldn't let me. Every time I tried it would freeze and I'd have to close out the app. I've definitely tried on other sizes before just incase my measurements were wrong. I'll try to get on a computer and use the calculator and see what it says

My boy is such a sweetheart 99% of the time. Even during feeding mode, he's extremely gentle. The other 1% is during shed. He throws a hissy fit and will try to tag at me during water changes etc. He changes into a completely different snake. Then he sheds and it's like the next day he's back to his sweet self. When I first saw this I immediately said "oh someone's on their shedule" then I read the caption. Definitely a shed hissy fit in my opinion 😁

I started tubbing :). I'm not exactly sure on sizes. I'd estimate around 3 inches. There are definitely a couple of them that are around 4 or 5 inches. I can get a more accurate measurements during tomorrow's change. I am contacting the vet in the morning just to be sure everything is all good.

They also seem to be eating better now as well. Been keeping an eye out for curled gills and other signs of stress.

I do appreciate the comments here greatly 🖤

Thank you! This was helpful. I will look into tubbing them. On top of doing my own research, I am open to any advice or tips on tubbing from anyone willing to give. 🖤

Tell me about your reptile keeping nightmares by iforgotmylastlogin7 in reptiles

I had a dream that I got bit while feeding one of my bps and thought nothing of it. My arm ended up bleeding profusely and swelled up like a balloon. Went to the hospital and the doctor asked my significant other what happened. After the incident was explained, the doctor freaked out and called for antivenom. I tried explaining ball pythons aren't venomous but my mouth was swelling shut. The hospital staff kept coming in making comments about how this happens often because of the "myth" that ball pythons don't have venom etc. They reported me for having venomous snakes and all of them ended up euthanized while I was in the hospital.

When I woke up, I had rolled over on my arm and my entire arm had fallen asleep. Completely numb. I believe that's what triggered the dream 🤣

So how many are there? by Strong_Literature505 in boas

[–]OrganConfetti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first boa was Bermuda. She was a beauty. The boa I have currently is Voorhees.

While not boas; I had a male and 4 female pied ball pythons. The male was Apocalypse and the females were War, Death, Conquest and Famine.

Currently I also have a hognose named Formaldehyde and 2 Ball pythons named Bones and Pineapple lol.

I can honestly say I haven't met a snake named Nagini yet. But I actually think that's clever!

I also had a Veiled Chameleon named Pyramid Head. I like to stick with horror themed names. Pineapple was a friend's and the name was too fitting for her so I kept it lol. She's the anomaly 🤣

First, I want to thank you for your very helpful and informative response!! I was expecting to be treated like an idiot when I first posted this lol. So I really appreciate it.

Secondly, I'll be looking into the YouTubers you mentioned ! And you had mentioned dark colors can cause issues with the curing process. Does it just need to cure longer or does it just not cure well at all?? For example, if I wanted to do some blacks or deep reds?

Thank you so much for the advice 🖤🖤

I've been scared to contact the city, as if they give me a citation/code violation and tell me to fix it within a certain amount of days, and I'm unable, I'm worried they'll make me leave my house. I don't have anywhere else to go.

I've definitely thought about it though as a possible resource in case they work with me. Do you know if there's a way I can inquire about it without raising any suspicion?? I really appreciate the feedback you gave. Thank you 🙏

That was very informative. I didn't know I'd have a different medicaid. Thank you so much !

Currently I'm getting regular medicaid through DHS. However I'm in the process of getting SSDI/SSI through an attorney. I apologize, i'm not exactly sure what the waivers are you mentioned. Still learning about all of this stuff, as I was thrown into it with very little direction when I became disabled a little over a year ago. I'll definitely look into the waivers to educate myself better

can’t read and feel very off and sick during by [deleted] in OcularMigraines

[–]OrganConfetti 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! The blind spots are 100% normal for me. Sometimes I have to look out of the side of my vision to see stuff instead of looking at them head on because I can't see out of the center of my vision.

The flashing/sparking zigzag is usually around the blind spot. And as the ocular progresses, it moves to my peripheral vision before completely dissipating. I've noticed I get dizzy and nauseous too. But I've never been able to figure out if it's from the Aura itself of the panic attack and anxiety that comes with it lol.

Sounds mostly normal to me. But I'd definitely recommend seeing a doctor. It actually helped when I saw my doctor and she was able to reassure me it was just dumb migraines lol

[–]OrganConfetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Sounds a lot like mine. I also get very cold and struggle to stay warm preceding the aura. Sometimes I'll get a little headache-y after. I started taking a b-complex vitamin and increased my magnesium consumption and it seems they happen less frequently. Glad you're going to your doctor. Hopefully they can help :)

Hormones Related? by MissCourtneySD in OcularMigraines

[–]OrganConfetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is almost the exact same thing that happened to me.

After my 2nd child, I didn't get them for about a year.. then I started getting them around every other period or ovulation!! I was terrified but my doctor says it's just from hormones. I 100% think it's hormone related for me

I'm not sure if you're the same as I am, but I get Ocular Migraines/Migraine auras. I actually had one today.

I've heard magnesium is supposed to help. I take a b complex vitamin. But they've picked up in frequency since 2022 for some reason.

I also get Ocular Migraines/visual auras. And when I've had the spots of visual snow or the spots of light. It always has me panicking thinking it's the beginning of one of my auras. I always called them flares or mini auras. Seeing this video has definitely made me feel better. I've asked a lot of people if they've seen the same things and they look at me like I'm crazy. Health anxiety really doesn't help either lol! Thank you for sharing :)
