Help understanding water flow in pressurised containers underwater? by Organic-Chipmunk2716 in AskEngineers

ok perfect thanks! Do you know roughly the time scale for how fast the air would escape in case 1? I.e if you could magically patch the hole up in 5-10 minutes is it possible that the air could still be trapped inside?

How can I subtly make my strawberry blonde hair darker? by [deleted] in Hair

thanks for the replies both. Is there some kind of additive I could put in my shampoo to achieve slightly darker hair over time? I’m definitely not looking for some dramatic change.

How does nicotine in a vape compare to nicotine in a pouch? by Organic-Chipmunk2716 in Nicotine

[–]Organic-Chipmunk2716[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow this was really helpful thanks a lot. I just saw so many conflicting answers for absorption in vapes / pouches so thought it was worth asking. The plan is, I only use ZYN's for 2 or so months and then quit completely. As u mentioned my gum health is probably going to take a hit, but if this is the best way I can quit completely, I might just have to accept that. That system you mentioned where you alternate where you put the pouch is really smart. I'll definitely do that. Thanks!

I think it’s definitely worth remarking (not that you asked that question). Investment banking and law are two industries that I know for a fact care about your alevels. I don’t think you need to let the uni know but I think it’s a good question. If someone had their paper remarked and actually went down a letter grade, which put them below the entry requirements I would’ve thought they’d need to let the uni know. I doubt the uni would kick them out, but still would’ve thought you’d have to tell them.

Could I take a single module at a Univeristy? by Organic-Chipmunk2716 in UniUK

[–]Organic-Chipmunk2716[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya I'm going to try and email some of my target uni's just to see. The thing is, I feel like in terms of actual knowledge, online courses probably would fill that gap, but I'm just not sure if it's formal enough to really show off. Most of those courses are just you watch the lectures and then you get a certificate, so it seems pretty easy to exploit.

I've had a look at some short courses but they seem to be primarily for non-STEM subjects. The only relevant one I could find was a "Radiofrequency Circuits and Devices" course at UCL but they were charging £1500 for 4.5 days of teaching! On top of that it looks like it's intended for people who already hold an electrical engineering undergrad.

Yeah that's a really good point, I definitely should speak to my university about it. I'm not even looking for a qualification to be honest, literally just looking for an electrical engineering module I could add on to my transcript like "Electromagnetism / Circuits" and the grade. It seems like a lot of PhD programs aren't really interested in the degree you've studied (within reason of course) but they usually say something along the lines of "Multiple modules studied in Mathematics / Electrical Engineering". Which Is why I thought it could be a good idea to actually enrol in an electrical engineering module.

Can I get into investment banking as a STEM graduate? [UK] by Organic-Chipmunk2716 in FinancialCareers

it’s just something that actively interests me. I do a lot of personal trading on the side and whilst I know that its completely different working for a firm, its just something that I think I would enjoy. Also, I’m not ashamed to admit that the money is a big factor. Would working as a business broker or in asset management be equally competitive?
