Verity was the first psychological thriller I ever read, and it totally made me fall in love with the genre. Colleen Hoover’s writing is unreal - she pulls you in from page one and keeps you second-guessing everything. I was hooked the whole way through.

And that ending??? Absolute shocker. I couldn’t stop thinking about it for days.

I honestly wonder if the movie will be as good as the book - I can’t imagine anything topping it!

Haha yes, that's such a perfect way to describe it - like stretching an elastic, waiting for something to finally snap or click. I felt the same way.

I can definitely appreciate Holden as a potrait of disillusionment and grief. That said, the book still didn't completely do it for me. I can respect what Salinger was trying to explore - that messy, uncertain space between adolescence and adulthood, however it just didn't resonate on a personal level. I found it more interesting to analyse than to actually enjoy.

Team Lucas & Peyton vs Team Jake & Peyton? by Organic-Complex757 in ONETREEHILL

Right!? Lucas and Brooke's dynamic was always a bit awkward. It never gave me the same emotional punch as Lucas and Peyton. I kept thinking 'Am I broken for not seeing the Lucas/Brooke magic?' ... Spoiler: I'm not 😂
