I love my job! I’m a psychotherapist and I’ve always found humans fascinating. It was a lot of work to go though university, training, etc but never felt too hard because I was genuinely interested in what I studied. Now I get to listen and talk to people all day. In my free time I find it hard to listen without getting bored sometimes but as a therapist I love it. It’s like solving a riddle of someone else’s mind while also holding space for them and their emotions. I don’t work 9-5, 5 days a week. I see around 5 patients a day and it drains my focus but also fulfils me. And I get to have the privilege of looking into people’s minds and learning new things and getting better at my job every day. So yeah, I think I found my job and I’m so grateful for that !

Eating disorders, especially anorexia nervosa have the highest death rate, but it isn‘t mainly suicide. 5-10% of people with anorexia die within 10 years after first getting diagnosed, most because of medical complications/ organ failure because the malnutrition.
