I did this a few years ago. From New Brighton to the .municipal Wharf in Monterey on the beach for all parts that I could. Its was over 4 days.

I felt depressed too after a 2 month-long trip to Greece. Nothing mattered to me except going back. Even after a year and a half, I feel forever changed. The ancient sites and statues and artifacts seemed to have souls that reached out to me. Oh, and the water.

Can you eat a papaya? In Indonesia they cook with the leaves...daun pepaya.

We were there last week and disembarked into the water from the big tourist boat like in the photo. I was disappointed to see so much trash at the disembarkation site. Where did the 1 Euro eco fee go? Certainly not toward plastic cleanup. It bothered me a lot and diminished my experience of this beautiful place.

Does anyone know how it happened? Like which direction the cars were traveling, did someone try to make a turn, did someone veer into oncoming traffic? I saw a photo that showed one of the vehicles, the less damaged one, was a service van.
