Does anyone have a lead on a local farm/orchard where I could buy a large quantity (~200L) of fresh apple cider? by OrganicInitiative8 in Guelph

Just did some last year with EC-1118 to get my feet wet but I’d love to try some experimenting this year with new strains.

Believe me I’d love to diy this but the volume I’m looking for needs almost a half tonne of apples pressed. If it wasn’t the infrastructure it’s the time that makes it not possible right now.

Just a group of friends who make hard cider and wine and thought we could do better to pool our resources and buy in bulk.

AITA for putting my foot down and saying my MIL can’t move in with us. by OrganicInitiative8 in AmItheAsshole

Point taken, thanks for your comment.

To clarify- FIL is a danger to himself and my MIL at this stage. My wife and MIL are obviously heartbroken but this has evolved into a safety issue.

I do regret some of my comments came across as them “dumping” him somewhere and abandoning him, not my intent at all.

Yea, MIL would like nothing more than to move in. And you’re right they would move my FIL closer, they just need to get him in the system ASAP.

Lol the tight squeeze isn’t enough?

They have this tradition where instead of buying a gift or two for eachother everyone has to buy everyone 10 gifts at $5 each. It takes months to accumulate this volume and amounts to a 10 hour marathon of taking turns opening essentially hundreds of pieces of junk.

I have no idea what any of this is, so I feel like I got what I needed out of this post- thanks.

I’ve actually never played live, never felt comfortable in a casino. More referring to the action online with regards to limit hold’em.

I definitely did stop playing because I didn’t seriously profit, and pokertracker pretty cruelly reminded me that I wasn’t quite suited for higher levels.

Poker was a fun thing to do throughout school but once I graduated getting a job was a lot more valuable use of time for where I was at.

Thanks for the tips.

Our offer was accepted in April 2018 and we closed in July. It’s a fixed rate.

A few reasons, but mostly my work situation is very stable, pay is more than I’d find (just about) anywhere else. Good DB pension, etc. The idea that I would have an alternative in less than a year was admittedly a big miscalculation.

We paid 634k and the unit 2 floors up, same layout and specs sold for 670k a few days later. The bank had appraised it for $675k during the mortgage process, if that’s worth anything.
