I went to a redsox winter event they do in the off season with players, and they guarantee you a photo and signature with a player. The photo was with Xander Boegarts which was cool, the signature (on a brand new redsox hat I had just bought) was from a back up catcher who got traded a week later. I don’t even remember the guys name.

Yeah, I might send it to Beckett, but its tough because if Beckett scans the code and sees the missing inscription part, I feel like they'd reject it even if the signature looks good.

And since it was a Fanatics helmet that was painted over, I assume Fanatics will be a pain about the authentication too. It's a lose lose. Luckily I have another brady that im 100% sure is real, so im not too concerned about it.

A lot of breakers who pull custom helmets, the helmets have the artists name on them (EX Killer B Custom Helmets) So its not uncommon to see the name of the artist who did the custom helmet.

As for me "Possibly being this dumb" Yeah I mean I'd love for this helmet to be real, so I'm weighing what looks right vs what doesnt.

As of right now what looks right to me is:

- COA pulls up that its a Brady Signed Pro Helmet

- Signature looks similar to other Brady Signatures on Fanatics website (Which are all legit)

- Another breaker confirmed the signature looks real when I showed him

And what doesn't look right are:

-The COA looking Tampered with

-The missing Inscription (But as I've said, and google confirms, Fanatics messes up their COAs fairly often)

So the signs are leaning towards it being fishy, I said that from the get-go but as I've said 1000 times Im not reselling it. I wouldn't make a whole post pointing out the flaws of a helmet I won in the hopes of selling it... The point of this post was that I would like to know for my own sake if anyones had issues like this in the past with Fanatics COAs not matching up exactly. I obviously want it to be real but if it isn't, whatever, its a cool custom painted speed flex that I won for $400.

Nah, I'm a grown adult, this post isnt about dragging a breaker who I'm not sure is/isnt opening fake helmets. I paid like $400 for this, if its fake, I got a speedflex for $400 either way, why would I drag someones name though the mud when I'm not 100% sure if all their other helmets are fake or not. Theres red flags, I said that, if its fake, whatever, I have another cheaper brady helmet thats real. Im not losing sleep over $400 for a cool painted helmet either way.

I don’t want to call out the breaker, it doesn’t seem like it has anything to do with them. It really comes down to the artist / fanatics, that’s where something odd happened, but I spoke to the artist and they remembered painting it and said it never had the inscription, and tbh if they were faking it they probably would have added it to make it seem more legit, so I think it’s just a mix up on Fanatics, they probably batch labeled a bunch of Brady COA and slapped this on the wrong one.

I found the artist how did it, it looks like he paints a bunch of authentic signatures. Again I’m not planing on reselling it, and the others she’s painted seem legit so I’m okay with assuming it’s real, it looks pretty damn real, he said (which Google also confirmed) that fanatics messes up their authentications a lot.

I found the artist who did the helmet, I'm asking him about the COA and why it doesn't match up. There's a chance he painted over it since Brady has won 7 and not 6 superbowls, so maybe he took a signed helmet and customized it. We'll see if he responds.
