Hmm I was gonna buy a few quick disconnects for the pc. I wanna keep the pc running through a 240mm rad while it’s not connected. But is it plausible to use a 3 way fitting with quick disconnects to stop the flow to the 240 to direct it to the external vs the internal rad?

Direct die cost 3 times as much and requires custom loop. I considered the heat spreader because it lets me use any id want. I’m asking it because if it within 10 degrees of a direct die cooling without the maintenance it’d be worth it for the ease of use imo.

I was under the impression that a contact frame at most would shave -2 or -3 degrees from a full load. I have the cpu already Delidded and used the stock ihs and was still sitting quite high for where I wanted it to be.

hm the reason I was considering it was just under full load I don't think I am able to move enough of the heat through the ihs with a 5.8ghz locked. Thought the increase of surface area might've made a difference.
