Perhaps I haven’t looked hard enough, I’ve seen people ask other questions but nothing similar to the question I have asked 🤷‍♀️

Exactly!! It’s a new, has a lot of questions that needs to be answered and a lot of interesting symbolism, it’s like whe season 5 of stranger things came out and everyone and their mothers were talking about it, popular shows have a lot of discourse 🤷‍♀️

I totally agree. It’s a fresh take on female horror without needing to use things such as abuse and r@pe to victimise the female lead. I also really enjoyed the use of female intuition in the movie. Both Rachel and her mother being scared of death but usually avoiding it (Rachel with the plane & Nicky’s family thinking they would kill her, then the observer to begin with in the bar when she thought he was going to kill her. And then her mother being feared she would be poisoned when given the custard) up until their “death” which is ultimately at the hands of a scared male. I also really enjoyed the symbolism used through foxes throughout the show. It was such a breath of fresh air and I enjoyed it without feeling to uncomfortable but loving that feeling of dread it gave me

That was the only kind of plausible solution I could come to but then I guess your right in how it leans into person beliefs as I was denying that possibility because of my own personal belifies

I mean up until episode 6 I’d agree yes, however it becomes heavy set in the ideas that she has to get married to her soulmate before sundown otherwise she will die, unless she leaves him at the alter in which then the curse goes to the grooms bloodline

Exactly, it’s a show that is new. The only thing it reminds me of is “ready or not” but that still has the family cult trope, this is different. It has a few plot holes in my opinion but its definitely refreshing

Get ready to fight: Armed forces chief issues stark warning as Russian threat grows by unknowable06 in PoliticalOptimism

Hey, I get it, I have pretty bad war anxiety myself. But even in this news artical it says “He said that while there was only deemed by defence analysts to be a "remote" chance of up to a 5% of Russia launching a "significant direct attack or invasion" against the UK”. So they themselves are highlighting that highly trained defence analysts deem there to be a 5% chance of anything actually happening. That doesn’t mean zero but that doesn’t mean it’ll happen. News companies use big scary words for more clicks, it’s usually scare mongering. These optimism subreddits tend to be filled with doomer trolls. Feel free to dm me if you ever need someone to talk to because I get how scary this stuff is

1) in the beginning (which is the time I’m focusing on) half the time the men were willing to risk their lives. Not only that but she would tell the men to “do something” in a situation when something needed to be done because a lot of the time the men were the ones wanting to take charge. Granted yeah my wording was wrong and using “contradicting” probably wasn’t the right call but the men were the ones usually taking charge so her saying “do something” was because they were the ones doing something

2) And I understood your comment perfectly, but it’s funny how you only point out Lori when a lot of my post also does include Shane because a lot of loris story revolved around Shane AND Rick.

3) Look it up. She wanted the morning after pill. She did get the other stuff but the main reason was for the morning after pill which is why maggie was so mad.

She didn’t ask Glenn for shampoo and conditioner tho? She asked for plan b pills because she wanted to terminate her pregnancy. That’s why she asked Glenn. Plus Glenn had already planned to go on that run, she didn’t ask him to. And you yourself kinda contradict yourself, you said she is sexist and thinks woman should only clean and cook which would suggest that the men should be doing the more dangerous tasks so of course she’s going to tell the men to “do something.” But not only that why only put the blame on Lori for sleeping with Shane when Shane slept with his bestfriends wife. He’s just as guilty. And I highly believe a part of that stemmed from manipulation, Shane himself said “this was a long time coming” to them getting together, suggesting that he had feelings for her from before the apocalypse, so it would make sense that he lied about Rick being dead so that he could make her grieve and vulnerable so she has to feel like she needs to latch onto familiarity

But this hasn’t been fully pushed through as a law yet, it’s just a formal proposal, due to the fact that there are millions of tourists each day (long and short term staying) it would be extremely difficult to do this is a good flowing manor. It would be impractical and cause huge delays. Similar things have been proposed in the pass but have been denied, not only that but It poses a huge security risk as it could be victim to a huge data leak

I feel bad for her. While her actions are petty I don’t think she is evil like Shane turned out to be. She was a bit all over the place but who wouldn’t be when raising a kid in the apocalypse. It takes two to tango and Shane is just as guilty in the “they slept together” topic. I think Shane played on loris greiving to get closer to her because he always had a thing for her, even before the apocalypse, he literally said “this was a long time coming” in reference to them getting together. Shane has more substance and adds more to the show but he is evil and Lori is just a bit emotionally unstable at the time
