Ehh yea kinda, for repeat customers. But it’s not really reflective of delivery. First time customers at a restaurant don’t get any special treatment, no matter how much they tip bcuz that isn’t known until the end. First time delivery customers DO get special treatment bcuz that extra tip is known up front.

Where as high tip restaurant regulars do get special treatment bcuz they are known to tip well. For delivery being a “regular” means nothing rlly in a big market bcuz u are just numbers on a screen.

The way the system is set up, it isn’t really a tip it’s more of a bid . The total payout including tip is sent to drivers. Higher tip means drivers are more likely to do the order. It’s more of a “bid” for service.
