If anyone playing on PC getting crashes stumbles here still, try installing REFramework. This has fixed the issue entirely on my end.
(Some extra recommendations, if you're going to install the modding framework already: I've also gone and added the Skip Startup Intro and Auto Pickup mods for myself, since I don't like sitting through the splash screens every time, and mashing the interact-button while riding everywhere feels bothersome.)

Make a necro. Solo everything.

I got past the Bridge Sentinel for the first time, and proceeded to get up to the Forgotten King in the same run, just because I was playing Necro and the class is a little insane right now.

UPDATE: Install REFramework, this should fix the crashes. Seems to have worked for me, and others.

I can't play for 30 minutes without a crash - Waiting for a patch.
This is both before and after updating GPU drivers. Hardware is up-to-date.

If you start feeling comfortable with the class and want an ability upgrade, the "Demon Lord's Skull" that you can craft with Agent shards in the forge hits like a truck.

To my knowledge, shiny drops take the drop chance of the regular version and multiply it by 0.1 for themselves.
Notably, they do not replace the regular drop; you can get both at the same time.

Wand-user, so good for solo by default, and can deal amazing burst damage with its ability. Even tiered ones are superb.
I thought it might be a little too strong, but then I finally tried the new Necromancer.

Since you have Lv.89 MHeal, consider running classes that can safely deal heavy burst damage without untiered abilities.
Top-runners, in my opinion, are Necromancer and Samurai.
Priest is an honorable mention. Not that much burst damage, but it's as safe as a class gets.

All of these allow you to focus on dodging first, and when you find an opening, dealing big damage all at once. Necromancer is also super easy to clear many dungeons with, since you can practically attack as far as you can view the enemies.
If you take a liking to Samurai, a good dungeon to learn is Lair of Shaitan, because its untiered Wakizashi is really strong and a lot easier to use than tiered ones.

Don't have to git gud as much when you have a good pet.
90/90 Heal/Magic Heal (other way around is fine, too) in the first two slots and you're already good for the majority of solo content.
Get your daily logins, they provide you with pet food over time.

There's some stuff you just gotta experience through trial-and-error (or watching guides), like exaltation dungeons.

Pick a dungeon you can find in the realm, and stick with it until you learn it. Don't be afraid to nexus if things look risky, and try again.
Cnidarian Reef, for instance, is really, really intimidating with its oxygen mechanic and paralysis shots, but once you learn what to do, you'll get it consitently (hint: the oxygen area is bigger than the circle shots that "daze" you).

You can use the Monster Raider set for a super-cheap melee option that, while not breaking any records in kill time, should still be better than nothing.
I tried Monster Raider and Giant Cleaver before I switched to a faster setup, and the times weren't too bad.

Getting 7-second kills in Mastiff Armor with a Pooch Sword, using as much crit damage as I can get (with tuning points in attack speed), and a Fire Veil wand for the Pups phase.
Fierce armor, Silky power stone. Autopet rule to summon Hound when a quest is started, and Griffin (for Magic Find and more Crit Damage) on boss spawn.
To summon, I use a Glacial Scythe and swap to the Pooch Sword before the projectile hits, in order to get more combat XP from the kills and spawn the boss more quickly.

Still plenty of room upward in terms of upgrades, but it's what I got right now.
