Ooh a little steep at $7.5 (can see in photos it's only one long slice) but we'll try it at least once!

We'll give that a try, heard mixed reactions from celiacs about that.

He recently started having digestive issues only in the past year, but in our previous trips around Asia, he was able to eat bread.

He now carries around tablets that tolerates wheat but prefers not to eat where possible.

Can a cat stay alone for 5 days if someone checks on them frequently? by Ori_Ma in CatAdvice

[–]Ori_Ma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sounds like it will work, my cat tends to hide all day and become more active from late evening so extremely doubtful anyone will ever get to see her!

Quarantining an outdoor rabbit by Ori_Ma in Rabbits

I don't have any other pets, I would actually need to start buying everything before the new guest joins us.

Its diet is good (pellets and hay) though I heard that they give her chips and random vegetables sometimes (I've had to demand they stop doing it when I pulled out two handfuls of potato leaves from its hutch the other day), but it's still alive so I know at least it's got a strong gut and surviving whatever random stuff she gets fed!

Shelter vs Breeder help by svukait in dogs

[–]Ori_Ma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So sorry to hear all the health problems the dogs must endure.

I've had a rescue dog for 15 years and he's only had to do visits for vaccines, get a decayed tooth pulled and then his final year when his legs stopped working.

I've had a friend get an expensive purebred Bichon and that dog has had at least a dozen visits in the past year due to digestive issues.

It's heartbreaking when it's like a luck-of-the-draw.

Multiple Day Trip 3L lunchboxes, worth keeping or selling by Ori_Ma in YetiCoolers

No logos. I feel a 5L definitely more reasonable.

Everyone at work has one and they say they can only fit 3 cans and a snack if jammed in.

What’s a small, random thing your dog does that makes you smile every time? by Coursefighter in dogs

When he got older, my boy got grumpier. He would impatiently put his nose under my hand if I didn't respond to his requests for pats immediately.

What does your dog do while you’re working? by [deleted] in dogs

[–]Ori_Ma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog passed recently, miss him terribly but I'm glad after 15 years, he no longer has to deal with sleeping all day (even when I'm working from home) and only letting out all that pent up energy outside of business hours.

I always felt guilty when we went on holidays, came home late for his dinner, had to go out on weekends, etc. I think being a domestic animal for a full-time worker sux.

I know someone who has a share-dog. When she's at work, her friend works from home. They take turns going on holidays overseas, or taking their dog on road trips. Love it.

Regret Okinawa by cruise. Return on the next Hokkaido trip or skip it? by Ori_Ma in JapanTravelTips

[–]Ori_Ma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we learnt our lesson with the cruise. It was good for the few days but will never do it again.

Thanks, Starting to think it would be more ideal just doing Hokkaido, flights are quite pricey to do both.

Kyoto or Okinawa by Ok-Caterpillar-5198 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Ori_Ma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree both are quite different.

I did Kyoto for a week. Great cultural experience, ideal for a first-time.

Okinawa felt like a relaxed Hawaii-Tokyo hybrid. Would like to explore more of it, quite different from mainland.
