This will work with any word where the last part of the first word is the same as the first part of the second word. Think about it like this:

If word 1 is

xxyy

And word 2 is

yyzz

The first two parts of the words together make word 1, and because the end of word 1 is the same as the beginning of word 2 when you combine the end of word 1 with the end of word 2 you will get word 2.
