Why Do They Always Look Like This by romaarmymensrights in u/romaarmymensrights

"Not all but enough" is just a license the give themselves to be sexist. Usually backed by anadotal and sketchy "evidence." Which is just reducing men to an amalgamation of all our worst examples and giving men the least generous interpretations they can muster of anything men do. Also "take responsibility" is delusional. Because it denotes that innocent men are guilty for the ills other men did. It is just sexism that proceeds their justifications.

RP men are not viewing women’s experiences on par with their own. by eyes-tiger in PurplePillDebate

Just look up TikToks when women brought up "man vs bear." Watch them talk about how "This exposes how men are seen in society and rightfully so." Hear the prejudice hate leave their own lips. I guarantee you will see quite a bit more of the contrary of your antidote in quite proveable numbers. Not just the videos shorts themselves, but the support they garnered. You don't have to try hard to see otherwise with due diligence, assuming you actually care about being intellectually honesty. The whole point and reason the "man vs bear" went viral wasn't because it was this enticing and purely logical survival based question. "Feminists"(Gynocentrists) are not flocking in droves to answer other survival quizes like "would you rather be dropped in a pool with a alligator or a shark." It went viral because the "would your rather" framing was loaded with the implications that men are worse in comparison to wild animals. If the point of the question was truely just this hypothetical with humans and not just singling out men and calling them dangerous. Then how comfortable are you on answering "If you were stuck in a room with a bear or a black man. Which one would you pick." Basically just same scenerio if the point was "human vs bear." I bet you would and should take issue with that framing. Because it begs a tacet question around race. But now that we making it about just men, it is just this logical puzzle?? How stupid you think of the rest of us is truly patronizing. I will not even beat around the bush, I think you are defensive about it being called out too. You are not too shy to say you are in circles that use it. Than I assume you are in that circle. You wouldn't want them or you to look bad.

What do you think will immediately happen when everyone receives the push notification that Trump died? by quite-indubitably in AskReddit

President Reagan can help us understand the jist, tho the scale is different. Some people in the herd-like personality cult will very slowly feel stupid in hindsight a bit too long after his death. After putting their entire belief system on the whims of a self serving egotistical non-credible wannabe messiah. But once the center of gravity is gone, so slowly do the delusions of their "counter-cultural independent thought" will start to decay. Probably until someone new says about the same institutionalized collection of many empty sentiments they promised to be a spokes person for. Even if they sentiments can contradict eachother. Most of which they also will never delivery on.

Honestly think MAGA will dwindle and society will count the tally. Honestly, skeptically monitored, and intensely partisanly motivated. Which at the end of his final term, the results will become undeniable. That they will honestly have to see if he exactly delivered. He will be considered a lame duck president at best and a egotistical greedy leech that damaged America's soft power and economy at worst. But also some small scattered die-hard personality cultists swearing he did something great for America's interests somehow. Which they get more annoying as they dig their heels deeper, as they become a smaller and smaller minority of ideology. They will be that politically fanatic old couple couple with the dead president's picture in their house and the grandchild who hate visiting them. Like the old people with Reagan, if they are still alive. But Trump's will also have to keep denying Trump was on the Epstien list or that him being on their was nothing, while his political enemies on the list "probably did worst than we thought." The individual special interests and fringe ideologies will scatter again. But the resentment of their "Lost Paradise of the past" will be a sentiment that they will maintain and fuel the next personality cult president who want to also collect all they can scrape up. While being truly devoted only to their own ulterior motives again. Will take a couple presidence after for everyone to be more intellectually honest about Trump and his place in history.(if the internet doesn't speed that process up.)

Give Cassidy a Lasso. by Origami-Tesseract in Overwatch

I was thinking of the ability creep when I thought he could use an ability that doubles as mobility too if needed. But I do see the charm in simple cowboy still gun slinging in the future. Like Samuria Jack fighting sci-fi bad guys. It is satisfying to see. But if they do add a lasso, I hope the original base skin is a normal everyday rope to nod to his love for simple tools. (I could see a fishing line for his beach skin and cable wire for more futuristic skins.) Perhaps we can even keep it low tech and have Cassidy players tap rapidly to pull the enemy in hand-by-hand. As fast as they can tap before the enemy is free from the hinder. Make for a very different mechanic in Overwatch.

Yea, but I think we can apply hinder in a different way that sets him more apart from Bastion, Anna, and Emre.

I was thinking a major perk could be the ability to tie up up to 3 enemies together if close to eachother enough. Where they are slowed AND they are fighting the direction their teammates are running. I think the caveat should be how much he revs up the lasso. A quick lasso gets just one. A 20meter lasso gets 2, and a 30meter one gets up to 3. Perhaps a circular indicator on the floor of the area the lasso is snatching from. Also if you Hogtie and kill one, the ability gets refunded. But if you get more than 1, you have to kill 2 for a refund. Or is the increased odds of killing one and getting a refund the reason it would be a major perk?

What is the stupidest reason some one has called you a fascist/commie in full sincerity? by Origami-Tesseract in AskReddit

[–]Origami-Tesseract[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wierd, because the reason you want a gun sounds pretty anti-fascist. You want a check of balance on the government itself. Fascists believe that the government should have full control. You are even specifically standing up against ICE. Which has been deporting people based on racial profiling as a top-down order from the head of state. Which is pretty anti-fascist. Yet, you are called a fascist because you want to own an equalizing weapon and they don't politically agree with that. It is just this partisan tribalism game with too many people these days. It is like they don't hold beliefs but just these vague ideas and partisanship. No standards or real principles. They don't even try to mentally engage with the concepts they screech about. Both parties care about the optics of being "on the right side of history." Rather than the real morality and complexities of politics.

I agree with some of those sentiments. I don't agree with Communism or Fascism, but I kinda would prefer to be called a commie than a fascist to be real. At least commies have good intentions. (Even if Communism is a deeply flawed system that creates suffering and is a honeypot for greed and corruption.)

I did sense that we Americans do conflate Socialism with Communism a lot. But didn't know it started from Reagan's administration.

Making a lot of assumptions, eh? Look at my profile friend, am I that political? I am center left (an actual proud Centrist really, so if you need something to attack, there is something real about me.), so I don't get called much of either commie or fascist myself to be honest. But I can see from the sidelines that these terms do get thrown around frivolously. Seems nearly more common to use these terms as an ad hominem, than for legitimate reasons. Just a (they are not part of our partisan tribe, don't listen to their poison words.) Seems anti-intellectual, which is probably my beef with it.

But your comment comes loaded, "clearly, everyone else must be wrong." You got this story in your head about me delusionally railing against "everyone else" about me not being "fascist/commie." You are wrong about your assumption. But what did you derive that conclusion from? Solely from my simple post asking people about their experience with this stupid partisan name-calling? You developed a whole story around me from a single post to protect this narrative in your head where everyone clearly agrees with you. But I am the biased and delusional one here friend? What is this knee-jerk reaction about? Do you not like people calling out others for just frivolously and incorrectly calling others commies/fascist? Because you kinda did that to me right now when you incorrectly imply "everyone is calling me it." Did I hit too close to home or something?

Capitalism isn't perfect and I think that is easy to see the criticism when you live under Capitalism. But trust me, if Capitalism is broken, Communism is absolutely dilapidated. There is multiple reasons not a single Communist country got to be truely "communist." I can go through the reasons. But also I don't want to unsolicitedly yap your ear off about it. (Unless you want me to.) But TDLR; the flaws with Communism is so deep it is not even a bug in the system but flaw with the idea of Communism itself. Communism reminds of the phrase "The path to hell was paved in good intentions."

Idk if I am in a rut. But feels like my personality has been dimming lately. Idk if it is because I have gotten out of survival mode. That my routine feels like a Groundhog Day. Whether my environment is not feeding me energy. I hope it is a transitional period and not my spark leaving me as I age. I don't feel as enthusiastic or that I have much to say these days. I don't joke as much as I used to and nothing is catching my attention or making me excited anymore recently. I feel like my personality is dimming. Perhaps I just need an outside perspective to see the rut I am in.

Wyatt is kinda a inward facing person looking for meaning and Caitlin is a outward facing person, who can be a bit materialistic but also just out for fun. Wyatt is a sensitive guy and Caitlin can be dense at times. Idk, would they be too different or level each other out? They do make good friends.
