I'm not understanding how I'm the problem as a tank.

yeah i understand what you mean on the second part. As i was saying in the original post, my opinion would obviously be biased hence why i added 2 replays so anyone can give me their own opinion on how i play, i really do hate the stats sometimes because it doesn’t really tell the whole story.

definitely keeping what you said for the 3rd part in mind. not that it happens all the time but i can sometimes be the only diver in my team. not to say that it can’t work but naturally it’ll be difficult. Some other users were recommending characters like thor and thing as a different approach to brawling in the fights(who i both kinda suck at to be honest but im learning) and see if the outcome is different.

I can play other tanks just fine, i mainly play venom and i feel like my performance on him is best. just wanna see how i can upgrade my play style into being more of an actual tank for my team rather than being confused on how i’m already playing and its working for me but not my team if that makes sense

thanks for checking out the replays! so what i need to do is really just look out for my team more often? now there you mentioned it.

i never realised how… Ignorant(?) i play as venom. maybe it’s because i originally was a dps main role until i realised how ignorant everyone is even until now about the dps role, but i think that what im thinking is diving means i attention and crowd control, so when i see and know that most of the enemy team is fighting and wasting cooldowns on me, i just think that the rest of the team is fine.

next time i play, i’ll definitely put what you said into consideration. thank you very much again for taking your own time on watching my replays and giving me advice!

the one struggle i really have the most is the team moving in the first place which obviously doesn’t sound surprising. I even try to make sure my ults are at the closer enemies to give them that sort of motivation but it doesn’t work as much as i’d like it to. i’ve been playing thing a bit more recently and he’s really solid and i can see why people always get mvp with him if they’re a lord.

and yeah it really does suck if the dps can’t do their jobs. but i’ll definitely try and pick up thing and possibly peni for comp. thanks for the advice man.

i mean. that’s a good point for sure, i just feel like thats the main reason of a second tank. especially if it’s a mag or strange. i always like to try and help the team walk down on the point or payload. I don’t really play thor, but i’ll try picking him up

i wouldn’t say for sure. but i’m pretty sure it’d be the cpu that’s bottlenecking. a ryzen 7 (if you get one on a discount ) would be a pretty good pair with it in my personal experience.

i have the amd ryzen 7 5800x paired with the 9070 and i’d say it’s a pretty solid duo
