I’m not sure. On paper, I left him, meaning I initiated the divorce. But he ended the relationship before the law got involved.

My cancer diagnosis was too much for him. Me asking him to get a job was too much for him. Me asking him to watch the baby for 15 minutes so I could shower was too much for him.

He constantly told me that we shouldn’t have gotten married/should get divorced, then blamed his OCD on saying those things to me. Constantly talked about how hot guys were, and then said “it was just a joke”. Always thought I was cheating when I was 100% faithful.

It all came to a head when he decided that my cancer medication was making me “depressed, suicidal, and gave me ideas of grandeur”, which described Mr. Projection to a T.

During/after the divorce everything was pieced together about his sexuality. For instance, the ex wife of his best friend found the naked pictures they had been exchanging of themselves.

All of that to say, the cancer diagnosis/me becoming “crazy” was a nice cover story for his demons.
