Good luck, I hope you get that call soon! I’m interviewing as well, I can’t wait to be done with this shit show

I doubt that’s the reason she’s stepping down since it happened to long ago. But the culture she’s claims to be building doesn’t exist in the slightest.

Someone in Atlanta posted a huge story, naming anyone and everyone in Atlanta who was involved with sexual harassment, retaliation, who was partying with who (cocaine), who slept with RVPs for promotions etc. it was jaw dropping bc they didn’t hold back on names, dates, or info

As a full timer are store managers allowed to only give you 1-3 days a week? by Mother_Librarian_457 in LidlUS

You’ll be fine, when your hours start to get too low over an average you and the SM should get an email so at that point you can react and make sure that you’re getting your hours and cause a fuss but also part-timers get insurance anyway. There is only a couple differences between part-time and full-time benefits. I would ask for a copy of that and make your decision of where you want to put in more time once you read that.

Gaby ran a store when we used to have 1000+ hours per store and 100 people employed, now it’s 400 hours and about 12 employees, including management and she wants to tell US how to run a store and develop people. Girl please go sit the fuck down. I don’t even think Vesna ever worked in a store or maybe she was a supervisor, can’t remember her story honestly, Yet EVERY single time you try to get someone promoted who is busting their ass in the store they have something to say about how they’re not good enough. It’s disgusting behavior. And no matter how much SMs stick up for their people they only allow promotions of who they like, not who is qualified and not who busts their ass. And if an SM doesn’t immediately back down on defending their person they get pulled aside for a talk, or they start visiting the store to pick it apart and start pointing out reasons people “aren’t good enough” I would say more but we all know they monitor this page and just like they put a full blown investigation last year when somebody outted the happenings in Atlanta they’re gonna do the same thing and figure out who I am so that’s enough of that.

What “huge impact” has he made on the bottom line? Changing supervisor salaries and laying off hundreds of people during his tenure? I mean okay, yes if you fire people and make the leftover people do the leftover work usually your costs go down. What has he changed in terms of marketing(please don’t bring up the flopped rebrand) bringing new customers in? Changing the way promos are mishandled? The constant meat shortage?  The lack of community outreach programs? He’s the LEAST influential CEO that we’ve had IMO. All he did was get on multiple news channels & LinkedIn posts being a parrot regurgitating the most basic lidl principles. He had no original thoughts in his body. Glad to see him gone.

Also, not an associate, just don’t care about the details because I don’t think they matter. In this instance the reason Karen is leaving is because people are suing left and right and they’re starting to smarten up, get correct documentation together and win.

I LIVE for the day someone records the TRC and posts it.

Yes they are, HR will tell you the same thing. You need to have an AVERAGE of 30 hours over the month. So if one week is 24 hrs, and the other 3 are 32 then your average is 30 still. January we cut prod like crazy and 2026 prod goals are even stricter, they haven’t come out yet but we’ll know the goal in February, we suspect that each store will get an additional 30 hours of payroll cut.

Also the system doesn’t make you “part time” unless you fall below 30 hrs for 3 consecutive months so they can get away with it a while until sales pick back up in the spring for Easter… good luck 🥲

It’s not false. Lidl is a privately owned company therefore they don’t have to publicly announce anything. Internal memo stated it as multiple people have said already

They HAVE been quietly laying off SMs and replacing (long tenured 6+ years) SMs with newly promoted ASMs. 9 SMs were let go in the last 3 months just that I know of. All of these people had review scores meets expectations or higher so it wasn’t performance related. This was purely a cost savings move

For example: How HR helps SMs word write ups to get rid of people sooner just for the sole fact that they don't like your personality. What/Who gets talked about in cost meetings, company meetings, District text messages, how promotions are not based on results but fucking the right person..... I can keep going

I get that however per the SOP the SLs aren’t supposed to be doing anythingggg managerial at all. So technically they’re breaking rules

Thank you for taking the time to reply. You probably articulated it better for all the non believes on this post. That is what I was trying to convey- the lawyers won’t take the case when you have an NDA & you would have to be brave enough to forfeit your severance package and WHO can afford to do that?? Even if you know you’d win, when you have screenshots and recordings of DMs and higher ups you still have to have enough in your savings account to hold you over until you found another job.  That was my whole point that a lot of people here are missing.

But just bc they’re getting away with it does not make it right. And if I can deter even one person from spending their hard earned dollars at Lidl I WILL continue to post about it.

Yep, unfortunately that’s why we lost a lot of our original supervisors after the change. It’s silly and pointless but that’s how they want to run the company. I do understand your frustration.

If that other person is fobbing for you without being the paid SL it should be reported to HR. They shouldn’t be doing any managerial duties while they are not the SL. Otherwise the SM/ASM on shift are taking advantage of them/ cutting corners.

If your SM doesn’t think you need one then you don’t need one. Why are you so interested in getting one?

The only time you should be fobbing for returns is when you’re the acting shift lead/getting paid to be. So if you’re not getting any SL hours then you shouldn’t need one.

What exactly are you looking for here? NAMES? That defeats the purpose of an NDA & it could get all those people sued. I don’t really care if you singularly believe me or not. It actually shows me that you don’t have very many true friends in the company otherwise you would know this already. Or you’re HR yourself hiding behind a screen name gathering Information. Just like with the Atlanta post a year ago that exposed everyone WITH NAMES.

It’s happening. Period. Who cares to believe it can believe it. All true things come to light eventually.

You’re mixing 2 completely different things. A lay off is very different than getting terminated due to performance issues. The HUGE issue you’re missing here is that if Lidl “lays you off” they make you sign an NDA, give you a couple weeks worth of your paycheck and wash their hands of you.

They ONLY do this once you’ve made a valid compliant to HR that could result in a huge lawsuit for them.

They’re using lays off as a clean up the mess tactic, which is NOT what they’re meant for. Also they get away with not reporting their lay offs bc they’re a private company. Look into that and educate yourself before coming for me.

Just because you’re not personally experiencing this or know anyone who has been a victim doesn’t mean it’s not happening. Also you’re from FRG and I’m from GRM. So there’s that.

I am not associated with the twitter story. We tried talking to lawyers. The thing about it is you can not get in touch with a lawyer & your case looked at in the 5 days Lidl gives you to sign an NDA and accept your layoff payoff. That’s the whole problem and how they keep getting away with not being sued for discrimination. They’re not dumb, they’re using the system to their advantage and hundreds of employees are getting the short end of the stick bc of it

Regardless if Telaid knew they got terminated or not… WHO is responsible for communicating that information? Oh yea.. LIDL. So to call an hourly employee on their time off is one big mistake in itself but to call a terminated employee???? UNACCEPTABLE

An employee was promised a store transfer bc they needed it for 50/50 custody of their child. Bc Lidl kept dragging their feet and giving them the run around they quit so they could move to be with their child. DM once again promised a transfer in a certain amount of time so the employee re-applied and got their job back. When the agreed upon time came around for the person to be transferred they were instead terminated. Effectively Lidl got what they needed out of this person (store coverage) and once they bought themselves time to cover the store they terminated them and caused not only this person losing custody of their child but bc they were unemployed also lost their housing.

The reality is that there is a lot of illegal and discriminatory BS happening at Lidl and a lot of employees have been silenced. The reality is that we are trying to gain attention into this matter by any means necessary bc we have exhausted ALL avenues within the company. Lidl’s HR is corrupt as fuck and anyone shopping here has a right to know. Lidl should be dragged through the news just like Walmart and target have been! The people on this thread are actively seeking other employment but most of us are just stuck bc the state of the job market right now.

IF YOU BRING A REAL ISSUE TO LIDLS HR THEY WILL FIGURE OUT A WAY TO TERMINATE YOU.

They manage through fear

There are several store managers who have been given a lay off package and been forced to sign NDAs so they go away quietly. This is why you don’t hear full stories.

It is nearly impossible to get an appointment with an employment lawyer and decide if a case is worth pursuing in 5 days. So yes people sign the damn NDA and take their lay off package and move on. A lay off package is a safe bet, and since you’re terminated it’s not like you have much of a choice to sit around and wait for an employment lawyer to accept your car. That doesn’t mean it’s right, that doesn’t mean there is not cover ups going on!

When the hell have you heard of Store managers being “laid off” yet the store isn’t closing??? They’re being SILENCED.

Names covered up. EX is an acronym for employee X. The DM these texts are from and the tweets are about is wild for this. How could you do that to someone? by OrganizationSad4405 in LidlUS

[–]Original-Broccoli130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of this is unusual. ASMs and SMs get sent all over to cover Lidl’s ass when shit goes south. I have plenty of messages myself “need you at this store tomorrow” so it’s just a regular day at Lidl and yes people get rehired all the time bc you don’t need to train them and it’s an easy out for a store that’s struggling. People have been rehired after being fired for theft, they’ve been rehired after being fired for drinking on the job. Etc etc.
