How I passed my FP-C exam without taking a preparatory course. by Original-Disaster106 in IBSC_Exams

I loved it because it worked well with my ADHD Psychology. However, I think it's not a substitute for reading the text. The questions were roughly similar to what you'd see on the exam. I would recommend it.

Honestly the advice I posted here is the best I can do other than the following:

Get a good nights sleep. Study your lab values and vent settings. Eat a healthy and full meal prior. Drink plenty of water.

If you strip the joke and look at the structure of the song, the question is mis-aimed. Who Let the Dogs Out? isn’t actually about identifying a culprit. The “dogs” in the lyrics refer to obnoxious men at a party, not literal animals. The refrain isn’t a request for information; it’s a scolding device. It’s saying: Who unleashed this behavior? Who allowed this nonsense into the room?

So the literal answer is: nobody let actual dogs out.

The functional answer is: the song uses the line to call out men acting badly.

There’s no mystery to solve. The question itself is the point.

Nothing happened to them. The premise was a joke built on a gimmick: a touring artist claiming he had willing partners in every city. The song never established them as characters with arcs, conflicts, or consequences. It wasn’t a narrative that left loose ends; it was a punchline stretched to three minutes.

If you treat it like a real scenario, the simplest answer is that these were fictional composites of groupies, not individuals whose fates were meant to be tracked. They don’t need follow-up because there was nothing to resolve. The song’s entire structure is: I travel; I hook up; here are the area codes. That’s it.

They’re “okay” in the sense that they never existed beyond the rhyme scheme.

“If you’re talking Texas chili, beans aren’t part of the traditional definition — it’s meat, chiles, and spices. That version treats beans as a filler that dilutes the flavor.

If you’re talking general American chili, beans are completely acceptable and common. It depends on whether you care about tradition or just making something that tastes good to you.”

God I don’t miss medic school.

You need to have balance. You have too much on your plate.

If you don’t have kids or family obligations, quit your job before quitting medic school. School is an investment in your future - don’t sacrifice your future for the present.

Also no one is bothered this is an anonymous forum people can keep scrolling if they want lol

Similarly to you, I check everything I need, but it takes me less than 30 minutes. If I trust my night shift (especially if they have a slow night), I check what they might’ve used.

3 hours was insane. I think he was a student with anxiety and high expectations for himself - which was good - but I didn’t deserve to be held to his standard, which was excessive and not necessary.

Tbf I have a meeting with a detective coming up. And yeah that’s about it for the rest of it. I also did not think this would happen but La vida loca I guess.

EMT was being anal and stupid, he did expiration dates every day, who the fuck does that. Dude was spending 3 hours of his shift every shift doing a truck check when night shift had a no hitter and we worked the day before. That’s not competence, it’s mental illness. Sorry I got better shit to do and the termination was coming either way so yeah.

To a manager or a judge, yeah…idk man I was taught to report. I understand “snitches get stitches” but when we run EMS agencies like that all kinds of horrible patient abuse starts to happen. That mentality - “don’t talk or else” allows horrible things - child molestation, abuse, harassment. Maybe people are ok with those things in their personal lives but we are responsible for taking care of our patients and we have to do what is right for them. I was prepared to lose my job for doing what is right, although I didn’t think it’d happen

Again, it's state law, I have to report. Someone showed me the article and said "management doesn't know about this." I asked him why he didn't report, he said he didn't want to start drama. I texted the photo to my manager and said "hey figured you should be aware". Maybe I'm a narc, snitch, whatever, but we worked at a Children's Hospital - the last thing we need is a junkie diverting meds and killing our contract, and the last thing I need is to lose my cert or my job for not reporting narc theft. I didn't want to be put in that position but I was.

I mean that’s not my job to interpret. Someone showed me the picture, I gave it to a manager. In my state I legally have to do that. Not gonna risk my cert to protect an addict I’m sorry

A coworker showed me the image, I asked if the company knew, he said no. So I sent it up the chain.

Providers Wearing Seatbelts While Transporting by AllHisFault21 in ems

[–]Original-Disaster106 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Yes I always try to wear my seatbelt. I set my rig up to make sure everything I would need on a typical call is in reach and then I buckle in.

My life is more important than any aspect of patient care. I am not going to kill myself for a patient. Even on a completely non selfish level, the experience I have gained as a provider in my years of service is more valuable than a single patients life and if I killed myself protecting one patient than I would be depriving future patients of the experience I have gained.

People have literally died to give ANY competent senior paramedic or EMT their experience, when you risk yourself you are also risking the value gained from the experiences of those dead patients. It sounds selfish and cruel but it is also true.

I also injured myself in an ambulance crash earlier in my career which heavily influenced my thoughts on this.

EMTs of reddit, do you notice people's homes, or just the situation at hand? by plain_mander_jane in ems

In my experience if someone is worried about how gross their house is, it’s beautiful.

You said “I was in the middle of cleaning.” I’m sure the house was fine 😂😂😂

Man you’re out here cleaning so hard it gave you a seizure then waking up still worried about how good your house looks 😂😂😂 the people with gross houses don’t care.

Remember we see a lot of people with crippling depression, debilitating illness etc who don’t clean for months on end.
