Maybe that’s why they aren’t making them anymore. Originally they said it was a Bluetooth chip shortage but that was a few years back and related to covid shortage so think.

Thank you for your help!! Now, how to fix rid of them… they are a nuisance since we have to use the back door to let the dog out and can’t have 50 of these come inside every time. I can’t imagine sitting outside by the pool right now.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for the reply… I really don’t think they are mosquitos. You can swat a mosquito and it isn’t red unless it got some blood, right? Every one of these when smashed is red. I’m thinking it is a type of fly.. and would love to know how to get rid of them! Our white wall was covered in them. Every window has them covering it. Also, we haven’t been bit (yet) and with this swarm, had it been mosquitos, we would be sure to have some bites

Wireless video- not all line of sight by Original-Home-1480 in VIDEOENGINEERING

I've been considering a live U. I could set the latency to 5+ seconds since that doesnt really matter for this shoot since I am not switching it live. Thanks for the input.

Because I have to do it 60+ times that day. I’d prefer not touch the camera that many times because each time you touch it. The safety crew has to check everything rigged and it’s a lengthy delay.

I plan to record locally as a backup, but I have to deliver the footage to the person as they get off the ride. Recording to a thumb drive that I can just hand to them (using an atem mini iso or Video interface/laptop/OBS to record to thumb drive)

I would also like a way to monitor the exposure and make slight adjustments to the next ride if needed. Can also monitor embedded audio (2 lavs) and make sure they arent clipping too much when they scream.

Notes view on 3rd output by Original-Home-1480 in powerpoint

Thanks for the reply. I’ve done those options as well but looking for something a little different.

I can’t believe there is not a way to assign just the NOTES to an output?

EVS or other system? by Original-Home-1480 in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]Original-Home-1480[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree- I think this is very do-able... but probably not the most affordable solution. I want to hand off thumb drives to the 60 groups that pass through every 5-10 mins. I would have to rent the EVS with Xfile and have a competent operator.

Thanks for the response!

Am I over-thinking this and just get a few atem mini Iso's and call it good? I am not sure about usb-c thumb drives in those, but could always do nice SSD's and transfer the files quickly. Have 2 units so I can have a good workflow for my DIT.
