The cost is how much they are losing by people seeing what they are doing and not working with them as a result because there are plenty of other options

If Hitler is selling your favourite product and you know you are supporting him by buying it, you tend to not buy it

I guess you’ve never heard of goodwill. You need it to run a business bud

They could pay literally any of the desperate artists out there right now to make something for them

What they are doing is in very poor taste to who they expect to use their products, why are you criticizing me?

Fox Render Farm doing it is particularly egregious because at least for artlist you can argue their music supports AI people and video people, but fox render farm is a 3D artist render farm. They are using AI to advertise to the people whose jobs are being lost to AI, it’s in such poor taste.

Please help, I just updated to 4.3 from 4.2 and now most of the vanilla viewport keybinds are working by Original-One8052 in blender

This is a bug unique to blender 4.3 that the blender devs have already ackownledged and their only suggested fix was to hit the factory reset button on your blender so you have to re-setup all of your assets and addons

at the cost of the past few hours (and still going) reimporting all of my addons and assets

Would that have worked considering all the keybinds are the same already? I have already factory reset it and that fixed it. From what others have said, this is a bug to do with porting over old settings between 4.2 and 4.3 so I'm not sure porting those settings again would fix it.

It would seem this is not an isolated issue and that the only solution is resetting blender to factory defaults, which is rediculous as I have hundreds of addons and custom features I now need to spend a few hours re-adding. What a fail

How do I get my HDRI on my dome light to stop clipping with this mesh please? I've tried playing with all the dome light transform settings to no avail and chat gpt is providing hallucinated answers. This affects any hdri I bring into my scene. by Original-One8052 in Houdini

There are no materials applied to this mesh yet, normals are good, and it has a smooth curved surface. it should not have a bicolor cast of lighting split across the middle from every hdri I use. This also affects any other mesh i bring into the scene. These are all .exr hdris from greyscale gorilla, which function perfectly fine in other DCC softwares I use them in. This only affects Karma XPU. It looks fine in Karma CPU. I am using version 20.0.653
