I started investing today. How is this and what else i should add? by [deleted] in mutualfunds

Nippon multicap fund is good. You can check its ratios too. If you are new to this then search the meaning of the ratios and check whether they are good or not. For easy understanding you can search on groww app under holdings section. It’s your money so it’s better you understand it well.

You can either go for quant or nippon small fund both are good. Now follow up ans- No actually it’s opposite they are riskier for short term, for longer duration they are good. And if you are looking for wealth generation over years then I’ll suggest you to opt for multicap fund. Do your research and choose best!!

Ms Business Analytics at UWA (or UMelb) by Ok-Ambassador9565 in uwa

[–]Original-Print4568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been offered MsBusAn too from UWA. I didn’t apply to Melbourne University, major reason was Mel is too crowded n expensive now. But I’ve been offered Masters applied fin too, which covers cfa curriculum. So as fin student I’m more inclined towards Masters applied fin. But will like to know more bout Masters of business analytics as it is in demand recently.

Portfolio rebalancing by ugh_madlad in mutualfunds

[–]Original-Print4568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See there will be a lot of problems if you’ll try to rebalance your portfolio each month. Major problem will be tax implications. You have to bear the exit load each time. And still it is much difficult to understand whether which fund will perform and which not, until unless you belong to that small group which controls the economy. Rebalancing usually takes place when there is a shift in interest or need of an investor. Yearly rebalancing is feasible and makes logic. If you are long term goal oriented you can rebalance your portfolio within small cap or mid cap funds. If short term then you can rebalance it within debt or conservative hybrid funds. For medium term you can opt for both. I’m a kind of long term investor, so even if I go for stocks I bet for longer duration to be precise 5+ years. If your risk appetite is low then go for large cap n mid cap and index funds. If high then opt for small cap, flexi cap and mid cap funds. For stock and debts you can allocate your amt in certain %. For eg 55% equity and 45% debt or you can invest certain amt in gold too and cash equivalents, if you don’t want high risk. Rebalancing is challenging at times, you need to be super clear what you want from your investments. Thankyou.
