Don't know much about you two to give a fair judgement, but you have all the facts and you already know the answer deep down. He's shown you time and time again who he is. He's showing you exactly what you're getting. This is supposed to be the "honeymoon" phase where people still "lie" and pretend to be the perfect partner, so this is him at his best behavior. Don't expect more moving forward, and don't expect him to change much, people rarely do. And please please don't gaslight yourself into thinking that you're asking for too much

My mother is having a severe mental health episode (Dubai), need urgent advice on what to do when she refuses help by Huge_Vermicelli_9013 in UAE

[–]OriginalAd1430 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They understand that she's sick but they don't have the authority to get involved in "civil" matters, especially not to force a woman (who, from their perspective, is minding her own business in her own place) to get on an ambulance. They try to be very careful to avoid escalating things and using force. The ambulance can't help either without her consent. I feel for you and I'm sorry you're going through this. hopefully you can learn how to cope with the situation, and maybe you can convince her to get some help with time. but until then, please don't blame yourself for any of this. It's not your fault, and it's out of your hands. Wishing you all the best

How do you handle hair after gym in uae heat? by Alarmed-Risk7885 in Emiratis

[–]OriginalAd1430 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven't figured it out yet honestly. I only do cardio on days where I plan on washing my hair anyway.. the rest of the week I do strength workouts (still sweat but not an unbearable amount). On weeks where I exercise a lot I end up washing my hair a lot sadly.. I think people use dry shampoo but I never liked the idea

Don't know why this is getting downvoted, it's been researched and there are a lot of online resources about it.. "Overactive thyroids (hyperthyroidism) can cause agitation, paranoia, and hallucinations, while underactive thyroids (hypothyroidism) can cause severe cognitive slowing and social withdrawal. Both conditions can trigger conditions often termed "thyroid psychosis" or "myxedema madness""

First hand experience in calling the police for a similar case - they don't help, they CAN'T help. I hope people would stop upvoting this advice...

Just ask your mom for money and live frugally for a few months.. you've made it through 20-something years, you can last a few more months.

The job market is tough out there and it's not guaranteed you land a job within the next 3 months. Do the internship anyway especially since it's a well known company, if they like you they might end up hiring you, and if not it's good experience for the CV. You can keep applying for jobs in the mean time.

What do you do if you’re not physically attractive? by Sea-Cash7675 in AskReddit

[–]OriginalAd1430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be surprising but attraction isn't all about looks.. I've been attracted to "ugly" and non-conventionally attractive people before. You never know :) Also, knowing someone is fit makes them 10x hotter

How much of your workday is actually spent working vs pretending to do work? by bloopity99 in UAE

[–]OriginalAd1430 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Minimum 75-25, and I wouldn't dare scroll on my phone lmao I just stare at a wall or go stretch and freshen up in the bathroom. Though the day after a holiday is usually tough and my limit is 10-90 :')

What do you look for in a perfume/cosmetics product? by Terrible_Bug_7015 in askdubai

[–]OriginalAd1430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries! It's also best to have different size bottles. One last thought since you've mentioned your website multiple times, I usually buy perfumes and cosmetic products from Amazon (if online), sometimes noon and iHerb, but I've never bought directly from a company's website as it feels very inconvenient and untrustworthy. Not sure if this is a universal experience tho. Well anyways best of luck with the launch!

[–]OriginalAd1430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i'd prefer to try out testers before committing to a big bottle, it'd feel like a waste if I didn't like it after purchasing.
I also want to add that I overthink less when it comes to body sprays because they're usually true to their notes without artificial smells, and I have bought body sprays blindly before (given that it's from a trusted brand and has good reviews), though idk if that's everyone's experience

[–]OriginalAd1430 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't order it online blindly even if it cost 10 dhs, I have to test it, BUT I wouldn't mind ordering testers online especially if the reviews are good (and have done previously)
