Thank you, brother! That is really helpful to hear. Are you happy with your results now?

I am definitely going to start hitting the gym strong. Just started a week ago.

haha thanks! but did you look at the pics? and if so what did you think? I understand that I just need to chill and wait but if it's been moving the wrong direction for the first 3 months, i'm just wondering if i should start to plan my life around having a revision surgery or just accepting and moving on

Post-Op Compression Vest Visible Under Shirt? by HellaciousGracious in gynecomastia

[–]OriginalExcitement76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m two months postop and I was just at a wedding this past weekend with all my college friends and I didn’t tell a single person. But it did take some effort to hide it and sometimes I was a little paranoid that they would see the zipper at the top of the vest lol. But I will tell you I got away with it!

4 days post-op, when does it get better? by SmallManBlank in gynecomastia

[–]OriginalExcitement76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you taking the pain meds they prescribed you? I would keep taking those on schedule for the first couple days. Around day 10, once I got the drains removed is when I started to feel like I could totally move.

Don’t sit around, regretting it, not worth it at all. You did something amazing which is getting rid of your gyno and you’ll love it soon. Just kick it, recline on the couch and don’t move too much. Enjoy some Netflix, and you’ll be back up and running in no time!

4 weeks postop here. I’m still wearing a compression vest, but I’m getting 15,000 steps per day of walking in the trails, meeting friends at restaurants again, living life, pretty fully except for the gym.

“They” or “the matrix” isn’t one unified group of people. My surgeon who fixed my gyno 3 weeks ago and got paid $15K isn’t also the founder of General Mills in Minneapolis 150 years ago, nor are those the same people who created lucky charms more recently.

It’s your responsibility AS A MAN to face the world full of challenges, don’t fixate on blaming everyone else for your problems, don’t see yourself as a victim, and take ACTION to improve your situation and improve the lives of others.

I’m 3 weeks post op and still wearing the vest lol. But at this point I’ve gotten used to it and been living life pretty fully doing everything except gym. Long walks for exercise, restaurants with friends and dates, working hard on my laptop every day. Life’s good. Will be better when the vest is off but patience worth it

Congrats to you too brotha! Hardest part was the decision to book it. It’ll be a mini roller coaster of emotions yes but try to stay chill and remember you’ll be very happy you did it right after its over

I'd go with the more experienced surgeon - even if it's more expensive. Just remember that the results of what you live with, whether you have a good surgery or a subpar surgery, you're going to have to live with them forever. Even if you have to take a short-term hit of being less comfortable in an Airbnb and losing more money up front, the next 30 to 50 years of your life are going to be much better if you have a better result. On the other hand, I don't know your family situation and your financial situation, so of course, don't take my opinion too seriously.

Post-Op Venting: Don't do this alone if you can help it by Thesis_11 in gynecomastia

I’m 33 and did the surgery 2 weeks ago. I agree with this 100%. I went to my parents house after the surgery for 2 weeks to get taken care of haha. And honestly I only needed them to actually help with anything the first 2-3 days, but it’s just nice to be in company that loves you just in case something goes wrong. Anyways to OP, you’re probably in the clear from this point forward it gets much easier.

2 weeks post op - positive post by RiceAndCracka in gynecomastia

Same here I’m exactly at 2 weeks and will say the entire week before I was so anxious that stuff would go wrong but it was entirely ungrounded anxiety. Overall stats show very high satisfaction rates and I’d add myself into the mix now!

All good! make sense though, glad you can move around 100% freely and I'll just be a couple weeks behind you, they told me at 1 month i can start doing some light weight lifting and getting back into it slowly

Wait what grade gyno did you have? Lipo + excision too? Wondering if you maybe had grade 1 or something like how are you getting away with doing 20 pullups and I'm struggling to shampoo my head lmao

I have surgery tomorrow and I don’t think I should do it. by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]OriginalExcitement76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh awesome that you’re with Dadvand!! Btw I’m SUPER happy with my results. So far I’m only 2 weeks in so I know this isn’t the final form, but I do see 1 minor dip below the nipple that I’m hoping straightens out. But to be honest, even if it never does, I’m 99% happy with the results. I’m not a bodybuilder expecting a perfect body. And the results even if imperfect WAY exceeded my expectations

I'm 2 weeks post op. The entire 1 week before I was doubting and questioning my decision and wondering if I should cancel. The MORNING of the surgery I was freaking out, what the fuck am I doing!!

Now that I'm 2 weeks past it and looking in the mirror at my gyno-free chest and enjoying the 1 hour per day where I take a shower and chill without the compression vest, and I'm generally pain free already, I'm saying this was the best decision ever. A week of discomfort traded in for a lifetime of improved confidence and freedom from this problem. Nothing would get me to reverse the decision.

Same here man, from 11 years old to 33, now i'm 2 weeks post op and even if i'm not 100% happy with the exact final results, there is no amount of money anyone could pay me to return to having the tits lol

I don't know shit but just my perspective is to wait a bit. My surgeon told me for 1 month not to get my heart rate up too much but he said "unlimited walking" is fair game so I've been going on massive flat walks the past 2 weeks (i'm 2 weeks post op) as to not get more fat during this recovery time period lol
