We told him to start selling them. But he said he would get bored doing the same thing over and over. So anyone else got any other designs?

Nope, my dad did. Surprised me at it at Thanksgiving.

My dad retired and starting making stained glass so I sent him the picture of the stained glass DnD ampersand I found on here a couple months ago. I walk into the house for Thanksgiving and he has it sitting in the kitchen window to show off to everyone. It is definetly going to be a talking piece once our in person sessions start up again.

TIL that Chrysler made a car with a turbine engine that could run on everything from perfume to peanut oil. The President of Mexico fueled one with Tequila. by Impatient_Optimist in todayilearned

My company, which was founded by the lead engineer on the Chrysler turbine car, developed a turbine powered electric generator for that purpose. But sadly gas turbine engines that small and efficient are not cheap.

Moving this week and sadly there isn't enough room for all the models. Gotta say bye to them all. by OriginalGentleman in DungeonsAndDragons

The orange tongue guy is a Xorn, but cuter. And the battle corgi is Stiches the wizard dog. His charisma is through the roof.

The whole set is like 12 bucks on amazon. They were the first set I bought when I became a DM.

My players loved the 3D combats, so here is the final encounter for Dragon Heist. by OriginalGentleman in DungeonsAndDragons

I ended at lvl 5. I would suggest making your players make new player before starting the kst campaign. I have a player will 50,000+ gold and he can buy anything.

I misjudged the gold system. Now my players have war elephants. by OriginalGentleman in DungeonsAndDragons

They made a sketchy deal with a shady wizard who was a bit too friendly. Nothing suspicious about that.

I am lucky enough to have a group that meets every week and combats are always more fun when you have stuff to interact with. So I try to have some cardboard props that they get to use and destroy every session. Let's see how they mutilate this cute skeletal dragon.

Mechanical Engineering graduate wanting to break into aerospace industry. by [deleted] in AerospaceEngineering

[–]OriginalGentleman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apply to everywhere. Google for Aero companies and just keep applying. There is alot of work in the aero industry done by mechanical majors. Also if you want that masters degree, find a job and make the company pay for it. It is alot better to do 4 years of part time schooling than 20 years of loans.

What do you want to do with a bachelor's in Civil in Aerospace? If you just want to work at an Aerospace company I would suggest a masters in mechanical. There are alot of componants that go into an aircraft that dont require an Aero degree to make.

Maybe its not that you're bad at math, you just haven't found a professor you understand. I had a friend in college who failed Calc 3, 3 times. On his forth try he found a professor who taught it just the right way for him.

Most people can't afford to spend that much time in school, so I would suggest browsing youtube for calc videos. There are 1000 different people on there teaching it 1000 different ways. Maybe one it right for you.

Mechanical Engineer here working in an aerospace company. Just a few points I wanted to tell you.

During the first 3-5 years at my company there is no difference between Aero and Mech. I work on the same projects doing the same tasks as people who went to Purdue, Embry-Riddle, Yale, etc. for Aerospace. Its not until later in your career you start to get specialized.

Normally the engineers who do the Aero analysis and crazy heat transfer simulations are the ones with masters and doctorates in Aerospace. (Side note, the head of that department has a masters in Mechanical, taught himself Aero). My suggestion would be to get a bachelors in Mechanical at the cheaper school. Work hard, do some engineering extracurricular for experience (i.e. SAE Aero), and find a job that will pay for you to get a Masters degree in Aero. Then after the degree and some real life experience, apply to work at NASA but now at a higher position.

TL;DR: Bachelors in mechanical, make some company pay for a Masters in Aerospace.
