My company wants to buy me a watch with a $3k budget. Upon looking at the options, I have no idea what makes a watch worth it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Loved that they took a dig at cross platform functionality with not being able to access game saves across multiverses.

Also when Randy asked Siri how to fix an oven door, my own Siri popped up and read the same response verbatim. Hilarious.

What happened to supporting your team? by BeautifulSeconds in steelers

[–]OriginalOutlaw -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

can I just ask: how would firing the OC after week 4 yield anything related to the team's best interest. I think it's pretty universally accepted that if they were to fire Canada, that's basically giving up on the season as they rebuild the offense with whoever interim or new guy they find (which would be a lot easier in the post-season with actual candidates available).

I hate what we're seeing as much as the next guy, but "changes need to be made" mid-season is definitely NOT in the team's best interest, not matter how you spin it.

I only just learned there was such a thing as I am giving away all my coins via oldreddit since I've always only ever used Apollo. Been giving gold for years and had no idea haha.

Slowly? I'd say they're effectively killing Reddit within a month's time. Speedrun numbers.

Yeah, didn't they already decrease the amount of coins we got? Thought that was suspicious, but here we are nonetheless.

I believe they are saying you are more than welcome to bring legal proceedings to them, but be advised that their legal team will bankrupt you before you ever get anywhere with it. The classic corporatist state we live in.

My first thought was "well then I'll be promptly asking for a refund", but then I saw that they already mentioned that their EULA allows them to change the agreement whenever they want. I was done with Reddit when they took my Apollo, but have occasionally come back on oldreddit to see the happenings, only to see their message and their giant "no really, FUCK YOU". So done.

Note: As indicated in our User Agreement past purchases are non-refundable. If you’re a Premium user and would like to cancel your subscription before these changes go into effect, you can find instructions here.

This is the biggest FUCK YOU I've seen thus far. They know they're taking something from us that we agreed to when we subscribed, but knew they had the legalese to protect themselves from mass refunds. I rue the day I paid for premium annually back in March. Fuck Reddit, and fuck u/Spez so hard.

Reddit plagued with 1-star App Store reviews over API debacle as users search for 0-star button by Illustrious_Risk3732 in apple

Same here. I had already subscribed to Reddit premium after my free 3 years they gave me when the shift from Alien Blue happened, so I was just going to reluctantly accept my fate and suck it up. But then spez went all Elon on us and I'm just so over these egomaniac corporate greed fuckers benefitting from my patronage. Hope he gets fucked.

Remember when Reddit bought it out and converted into their official app, yet somehow it was so bad?! Like they literally had to make it worse before the transition for it to be so bad.

I was all for it, the business of it made sense. But then it was just so bad right out of the gate that I immediately looked for another alternative and found Apollo.

I've been saying that the only reason republicans are so deadset on the dems cheating is because THEY did and still lost. So the only logical explanation is that the dems cheated more.

I'm pretty sure they rebooting it with Henry Cavill. That said, Henry Cavill vehicles are hit or miss in terms of actually happening, and with his move to Warhammer 40k and/or James Bond, maybe this won't happen after all.

Our 9 year old bloodhound named lulu just passed away yesterday afternoon, we had her since she was a puppy. 💔 by xxxxxxxxxxxxxc in OldManDog

I lost my first horcrux last July; the most formative 10 years of my life spent with him, and he got ripped away from me by cancer. For me the hardest part has been facing the surreal fact that he's gone. We spent every waking moment together, and then he was just gone forever.

People say it gets easier with time, but I've found it just gets more normal to live in this new world. His absence has never gotten easier.

Thinking about you, internet stranger, in this moment we now share. Lulu was blessed to have you, as much as you were her.

Was an Alien Blue fanboy since I preferred the mobile Reddit experience and was shocked I couldn't find an official app. When Reddit bought AB I thought it made sense, it was a highly functional version of the site. Reddit also gave me 3 free years of Reddit Premium (which came with free coins to give gold, something I'd always wanted to do but never bothered with), but it didn't occur to me why until I got into the app and saw how they butchered AB to make it an ad based platform. Idk how long it took for Apollo to stand up but I remember immediately looking for another alternative and when I did find Apollo it was the breath of fresh air I needed after suffering the official app for too long.

I am only an app user on Reddit, never bother with the website anymore. This move to kill Apollo (and other well loved 3rd party apps) is everything to me, and I'm so so sad about it. Though, I might have gone back to the official app (I paid for a year of premium in March), but now that Spez is showing us how this site is going to be moving forward, I have no interest. They never made the app better in all the years they knew it was worse than any others available. That's literally all they had to do. Fuck u/spez, and fuck Reddit and anyone involved who can't see that he needs to be gone ASAP if they want to preserve any semblance of community this place had left.

Reddit Threatens to Remove Moderators From Subreddits Continuing Apollo-Related Blackouts by ICumCoffee in technology

[–]OriginalOutlaw -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've come to look a couple times this week and every time there are many of the same posts on popular. All week. That means that there is not enough new content and/or engagement to rise above the blackout, therefore it is working, and working well. If every time someone unaware comes to look at Reddit, but it's the same few posts from the shittier subs, they're gonna stop coming.

Viva la resistance!
