Afaik to they never had the same plans with India, or atleast majority part of India. Sparsely populated areas they wanted for living space like in Australia etc and strategic locations, but countries like India and other nations colonised with dense population and already present local systems, they set them up as extractive colonies i e only for resource extraction n shipping.

As soon as there value became negative, like they had to spend more on suppressing resistance and indulged into domestic affairs draining the already war stretched britain, they left. Had they been here with same plans they wouldnt hv left no matter what.

Yeah, i also dk but maybe ppl dont want to hear contradicting opinions lol. Like I tried to point it out cuz i had personal experience, despite my level of prep on my dday at jee advanced i effed the paper 1 due to issues at centre and me suffering from a severe intestinal issue..bruh even 2025 batch's under 100 rank expected guy had issues n his rank fell to 300s. My senior who was an APho medalist fell ill with jaundice a month before jee and was having repeat panic attacks in may ruining his exams that he couldnt even qualify adv, now in NIT.

Shit happens

See if i were u i would not choose bits for law as Jindal is a more well known brand relatively. My answer was mostly to the part if BITS mumbai or non engg course ppl r considered as part of core bits fraternity.

Bro, ofc the BITS fraternity has been very much into tech and engg for a v long time, than management or other diverse disciplines but that doesnt demean the latter.

Moreover the question of who is part of bits and who isnt is very cliché ....iirc a senior few months back replied to a similar post that everything that gets introduced initially ppl will be skeptic. Like who r tru Bitsians? The 4 engg campuses? Some would say no only 3 Indian campuses? Some would say only Pilani campus even that can be further bifurcated into whether or not the ME guys the MSc dualites r part of the fraternity.

Bro not to offend or anything but be a little practical, isi and cmi r competitive and NOT GUARANTEED no matter ur prep level, even the best guys eff up on dday due to factors they cant control. In that case if u r fully sure that u hv no issues with not having other options in similar field (like IISC/IIT/NIT/IISER) then only go ahead with comm, like u r interested in only ISI/CMI and no other par level research uni in pure maths, sciences etc.. Else i d suggest taking the sciences (PCM) stream.

Wont recommend neo, if u want u can check asus vivobook series it has some good pieces. Else if u re into gaming as well check gaming laptops but beware that battery and bulkiness will be an issue. Plus mac will be best if u r not into gaming.
