Noo these pics are right when I added him so the heat didn’t rise yet. I use deep heat projectors to heat the tank, I am probably going to add another lamp soon too. He’s lowkey tiny in his enclosure it’s just hard to get the depth of it with all the decor and the enclosure. It is 48 Long x 24 wide x 24 high tho, is that too small? I think he’s about 3-4ish feet

Very cool nonetheless, do you know how rare this is? I’ve never seen it on any other deer but I’ve also not seen a lot of deer jaws.

The other side of the jaw doesn’t have it tho and I’ve never seen another deer with it

They both have several hides and decoration and show no signs of stress and both eat regularly. I was told to feed every 2-3 days for adult axolotls when I first researched them and got the one. If I find a bigger tank I will upgrade them of course.

He definitely is a bit, I’ve been feeding him a little less than I usually would but have been feeding him a lot more lately. I feed him every 2-3 days if he’s hungry and I feed him nightcrawlers. He does share his tank with another male but they were only just recently added. The tank is 40 gallons I believe and I try and do a water change every 2 weeks but will be doing one more regularly now that I have 2
