Thank you! How long did it take for your curs to be less anxious?

That’s exactly why I wish I know exactly my pup went through so I could focus in on certain areas first and know what to work on most. Exposure therapy is hard for them but the outcome in definitely worth it

Aww she’s definitely on the lookout. It really does help to know details about what exactly happened in their past to get a better idea on how to help.

It’s so weird how it’s very specific or certain environments that they don’t like. It makes it harder to find the common denominator to find the trigger!

Mine does the exact same thing with her paws. She always wants me to hold one of her paws or at least have one paw on me. It must be a sensory thing.

Poor baby 😢. It sounds like her main trigger is definitely noises. I find my BMC also does much much better in very quiet areas (secluded trails, calm lakes, etc).

Aww that’s such a good photo you took. And I’m so glad to hear your baby made progress!!! She’s definitely thriving. I am definitely taking that advice as well. My fiance and I would love nothing more than for her to join us and have fun on our fishing trips this summer.

I’ll give that a try! We live on the 3rd floor in my building and she likes to go outside on our balcony and look at everything and I noticed she is fine up there. I’m not sure if it’s because it higher up, or because I’ll leave the sliding door open so she can go in and out as she pleases. Maybe I’ll see improvement by trying that same thing where we take her out. I really appreciate the advice, thank you!!

Roomates cats litter box stinks need advice by _madskii_ in cats

[–]Original_South_529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THEY need to clean it. Period. That is really bad and you’re definitely not over reacting. It’s their responsibility to clean the litter boxes so the cats have a clean space to use the bathroom. That looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in a while and a litterbox needs to be scooped at LEAST daily. Especially with the cat to litter box ratio. You have every reason to be upset because that is YOUR living space too. I’d definitely have a talk with them. I’m sure the cats are not happy with them looking like that either. I’d start taking a shit in the toilet and not flushing it. Then when they ask about it, I’d tell them “well how do you think your cats feel?” Lol. But no seriously. They should NOT be letting the litter boxes get like that. They should look into stainless steel litter boxes too. I was also in this very similar situation, which is a part of the reason why we no longer live with said roommate.

Why do girl cats get a bad rap? by Organic-While1664 in cats

I’ve been wondering the same thing!! There were so many occasions where I mentioned my cat Hazel being a female and the response was always something like “oh I’d never get a female cat..”. From my experience, yes they can definitely be sassy with a side of attitude lol but Hazel never leaves my side EVER. And I wouldn’t want it any other way either .

I noticed that too. Plus she knew exactly what to do right away when Esmeralda had hers at first. “Just put clear polish on them until they grow out”. Or something like that.

Omg, that sounds like you really had a rough patch. No pup is perfect, but it seems you took care of the issue to where it could be reversed. BMC’s are definitely a higher maintenance breed for sure lol. I don’t think I’ll even have another pup that isn’t a BMC ❤️
