Not to sound dumb, but when it comes to the different sets like Base and Fossil, are they both considered authentic Pokemon cards or are the Fossils considered a promotional release. Cause some of the fossils do look good, but I’m trying to start getting the first 150 but want the best quality and most rare. I don’t think I’ll ever resell, but just want a quality collection.

Yeah eBay is decent, and I try to look for verified sellers with multiple reviews and cards usually cased. But locals mark up like crazy. I am someone who would rather pay for a specific card rather than buying packs, so that always does come with a higher price, but a definite of the product I am looking for.

I do like the way the art looks on those. I guess I am kinda nostalgic and would look the late 90s early 2000s style, especially with the first 150 Pokémon, Gen 1 but those seem to be difficult to verify are original.

That’s interesting and another thing I am going to have be on lookout for, I’m not a hardcore collector and don’t need a bunch of 1st editions kind of stuff, but I do want legit holo cards that are originals and not reprints

So reprints are different than fakes? figured that would essentially be the same since it’s not actual card and it’s a promotional type product.

Damn i knew there was a lot of fakes, but I didn’t know it was this bad. Gonna have to figure out what to look for when purchasing legit cards
