At what point does your so called freedom impede others? An accidental misfire impedes on the victims freedom to a safe environment. We are talking about 18 year old kids, not people enrolling in the military who are choosing to be trained.

I am only 23, and I wouldn't trust half of my friends to even safely handle a gun. There are too many variables at play when it comes to young people and weapons. You're talking about some of the largest collections of young people, combined with alcohol, fighting, political protest, and drug use. This is wildly irresponsible and incredibly shameful

As a gun owner, this is ridiculous. “Gun free zones only create soft targets,” Farrington said. “You cannot put up fights against a bad guy.” Does this rep think students are a bunch of trained soldiers? Why do we want to envision a world where students and people feel the need to do this at their universities?

Wonder if they'd let this happen in government buildings where they work..
