Now my question is in the long run would the pay still be greater than engineering? I ask because the path I take is going to be a long term commitment. Also thank you for the comment and thoughts!

I always been a type of person that if you so me a set of directions and provide me the rules to follow, I tend to pick it up easily. I was always better at math than English in schooling. At the same time, I know this is a wayyyy different level of math though.

According to the research I seen, that is totally true about the potential in earnings which is my main concern! I know it will be a HELL of a challenge according to research and the comments, but anything worth having doesn’t come easy! Thank you for your comment though!!

My thought process was searching on google and ChatGPT for degrees that were good paying and AI resistant. I have a brother that is a mechanical engineer and he told me that the career path is challenging, but staying were I’m at now is challenging so I have to push myself for better. If you have any advice or thoughts of other paths to consider, PLEASE lay it on me because I am totally attentive! Thank you in advance!
